Diseased Neo-Pagans / Witches on the Internet / Witchblr - SMT IRL, but with fatties

I'm entering this thread as a noob to this cringe occult shit, so I'm curious what we can make fun of or bring attention to. Say I want to mock something more mainstream, like the Bohemian Grove? They burn effigies to a giant owl in the woods, so even though it's not internet driven, it seems like it should count.
That is interesting as heck, but this thread is more for young annoying people who are going through their witch phase--on the Internet. Bohemian Grove members aren't really the TikTok demographic.

If there isn't a thread where people are talking about George Bush stealing Indian skulls, though, you should consider starting one.

Ancestor worship was the first religion of the indo european race; the hearth of the home was the center of the religion, the flame was always kept alight, and tended to day and night as extinguishing of it would draw the ire of the manes(their ancestors). Before the conception of higher beings entered the European's mind he feared his ancestors and his ancestors alone; no other families lineage haunted his mind. From this point religion evolved and began to incorporate higher deities(zeus, apollo, etc...) which established a religious bond between the inhabitants of the cities and would eventually come to usurp ancestor worship, but never completely smother its flame. It wasn't until the advent of christ that the european finally moved away from ancestor worship, but you wont find any of that in the percy jackson novels so I don't know why I expect them to know this.

Yes, there were countless athena's, Jupiter's, and venus's sharing only their name in likeness. The myths and archetypes of the gods that have been passed down to us have been curated by time.
This guy is fascinating if anyone wants to hear his thoughts on the subject:

That goes in this thread: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/wiccan-and-neopagan-general.16318/

At least my personal take I don't think there's anything wrong with the thread being more generalist occult or weird shit along with witch business. I don't think the two are active enough to dominate a thread but that's just my opinion on it.

Hearing people's takes on really old indo-european gods or worship always makes me think of the weird LARPers who get strangely feisty about DNA and incredibly ancient history. Naturally they of course always propose that their ancestors are the badass sky worshipping charioteers and such. Always.

Archeological reconstitutist Neo-Pagans are the only Neo-Pagans that aren't cringe.

The owl is the symbol of Minerva. The Minerval is the first level of the Illuminati and the Ordo Templi Orientis.

Hol up hol up hol up, so you be tellin me that we wus sum kinda pre indo europeans an shieeet?

So the Proto Indo-Europeans wiped out all the original human inhabitants of practically every piece of land from Scotland to northern India, and neo-pagans claim that theirs are the original gods of the old world? Lmao.

I wonder in the future if we'll start to see Pre-Proto-Indo-European pagans try and climb the progressive stack by claiming that neo-pagans are oppressive. Would certainly be entertaining to see.

Anyway, here's some shit:

I see they're the sort who likely hunts down any female friendly spaces and utterly shits them up like so many others. Since most pagan or witchy spaces tend to lean left as you'd expect these sorts will eventually sniff them out and make shit hellaciously creepy. Them and 'Feminist' men who will inevitably keep making "Jokes" about going skyclad as more and more of the once friendly and happy group begins to stop showing up.

Also stop using Sailor Moon, Usagi and co would think you're fucking disgusting.

It's been a little while since I've lurked this thread but I seem to recall "neurodivergent witches" being mentioned. Here's my two cents.

I found this on pinterest actually (I'm telling you guys, pinterest is an untapped gold mine of autism). Sorry if this has been posted already...

And now for a powerlevel. Recently my homie posted this on instagram. Funny thing is, I doubt she even has autism or bipolar disorder. Lol

Don't autists have trouble with abstract thinking? I don't see how most of this stuff will help considering how abstract modern day "witchcraft" is. Wouldn't they be better off with a belief system with more concrete rules?

Like...oh just off the top of my head...Christianity?

I guess it's partly because that stuff is popular in their circles, and partly because they're searching for some coping mechanism to fix all their self-diagnosed problems... The edgy teens who self-diagnose themselves with fifty mental disorders are the same ones who obsess over astrology, witchcraft, left-wing politics, etc.

Ehh i'm stating the obvious here. It's all fatherless behavior lol

This is going to feel weird but a podcast I listened to, actually had a lot on paganism and its history as well in their latest episode.

It's just run by 2 orthodox priests. So I will caution, actual pagans probably won't like some of the swipes they take at it, so you will probably want to skip. If your agnostic/atheist and just curious, they break the podcast down into 4 parts and part 4 is where they dive into relating all this to the old testament (though there are a few asides along the way) so you can skip out before that part if it's not your jam.

But I mean they really dive into stuff, even noting how much is transcribed by ancient christians how there's gaps in knowledge about details - early misunderstandings based upon some false assumptions - don't just assume how it's going to go, it may surprise you the twists and turns it takes.
part 1. Ba'al focused.
part 2. Zeus focused.
part 3. Thor focused.
part 4. YHWH focused.

Hella cool. Thanks for the recommend.

Thread bump, site's back online and it's spooky season.
Let's go.

I'll start us off with this comment I found on a Dylan Mulvaney video:

And finally, a check in on reddit witches.

Heh, I could tell the second last girl discovered gnosticism before she even mentioned it by name. Good for her if it resonates with her. At least it's a real religious philosophy and not just new age bullshit.
I'm noticing a surprising number of people stumbling their way into Gnosticism these days. I wonder what that's about.

I did kind a couple things that made me smile, though:
