I think the mentality of "Treat everyone the way you want to be treated when you meet them and then how they treat you afterwards" is a good general rule.

I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree fren. An armed society mitigates against frothing bloodthirst since people become quantifiably less bloodthirsty when facing potential consequences for their actions. Defending yourself isn’t a compromise of principles. They’re free to spew their retardation up until they take violent action - I don’t see any reason to disarm or silence the opposition because they also have a right to defend themselves from tyranny that might come from our side.

In addition, it’s impossible to have a principled side enslaved because slaves are, by definition, willing to compromise their principles to survive. Maybe my side might die out but I do plan to fight to win.

It means they've got nothing. If they had something, they'd charge him and argue later that it's not election interference because Trump himself isn't actually running for anything, he's not on the ballot

Frankly, they'll have a hard time trying to indict Trump on what they're trying to indict him on and, if they do manage to indict, try and convict, all that will happen is Trump will appeal to the Supreme Court where even John Roberts, who hates Donald Trump, will vote to overturn the conviction because of what the implications mean for his buddies George W Bush and Barack Obama

I haven't heard the term white supremecist or nazi thrown around in a while. It's mostly some variation of maga-conservative, or increasingly just outright republican/conservative. I feel like we're in the 11th hour, something is going to give soon.

The central theme of Joepedo's speech on Thursday will be Charlottesville (because that and J6 is all Democrats talk about) while NBC is focusing on "extremism" this week. Actually it's the opposite (which is far worse).

IF you know you are about to die/that you make peace with the inevitability of death, sometimes there comes a sort of cruel madness and destructive carnage that is the result of not giving a fuck about the horrors and damage you leave behind. Especially if you are an atheist, which means you believe that you simply cease to exist in death and that there is no judgement waiting for you when you show up in the afterlife.

A good chunk of the horrors we are currently seeing from the boomer and silent generation crowd, are the result of them accepting their impending doom with a desire to burn everything to the ground as they exit the mortal coil. They can't live forever, their egomania is such that they can't fathom of a world where they are not in control (having cucked three generations IE Gen X, Y, Millennials, out of controlling the world), and they have the money and power to bring forth a sort of nihilistic "my death will be the death of everything around me!" type holocaust. Making the world their funeral pyre because they can, with the monstrous evil normally seen in family annihilator type killers.

Times Square designated ‘gun free zone’ amid new concealed carry regulations

Times Square has been designed a “gun free zone” in anticipation of the new concealed carry regulations that will go into effect Thursday.

The Supreme Court regulations will allow New York residents to carry concealed weapons with a license.

The governor and mayor say locations like Times Square will have signs indicating if they “sensitive areas,” aka gun free zones. The signs will be posted along a wide rectangle starting from 40th Street and will include Sixth and Eighth avenues in Manhattan.

These areas include subways, bars, restaurants, court houses, parks, and houses of worship.

NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said that they've seen a 54% increase in the number of permit applications since June. She stated that they take license approval very seriously and will enforce the law if someone enters a sensitive area.

The mayor says they will continue to fight against gun violence regardless of this Supreme Court decision.

"They placed us in the line of fire, and we must respond accordingly that radical decision that they made endangers us all, but here in New York, the place known for freedom, openness and diversity, we will defend ourselves," says Mayor Eric Adams.

Even those who carry firearms legally can be charged with a class E felony if they enter a gun free zone.
The governor says the laws are clear and that it is every individual’s responsibility to be aware of and obey the law.

Worse, it's gone back up a good bit in my area. Not quite what it was a couple months go, but about halfway back.

I went out shopping today and it jumped up 20 cents.
