Furries wish it was but it's not. Identifying with an animal character and using it as an avatar is a pretty normie thing. See: sports teams, military mascots, criminal gangs, moeities/totems in tribal societies.

I think mascots are sort of the nonsexual manifestation in adult life of very young children playing pretend as animals. Sometimes children will LARP as an animal for days on end.

Your average groyper is a 15yo autistic incel, so I think it's safe to say there is some overlap with that fandom, yes.
 
No its an edit of Pepe posted on some chan site years ago. Then it spread around 4chan and then got to /pol/ By the time they adopted the groyper it was a image/meme very common on /pol/. Since Fuentes browses /pol/ he would have seen the meme many times. Unlike Pepe, Groyper was more obscure so they could mold the image into anything they wanted. Pepe is associated with large portions of the internet and you cant really adopt it as symbol of anything too specific. (Yes this question is asked in jest, but for those who dont know what the real answer there it is).

I'm almost certain that there's a significant number of furries hiding among the Groypers - I believe this from personal experience as well as some simple logic. The simple logic is as follows: Autistic people are attracted towards extremist ideologies due to their hyperfixation on aesthetics and details/research - autistics are also attracted to furrydom for reasons too numerous to list here. The takeaway here is that the Groypers have extremist tendencies politically, meaning that there are plenty of autistics in their midst, and those autistics are noticeably more likely to be furries per capita. These numbers go up when you take into account the number of closeted homosexuals and sexual deviants hiding in the midst of the Groypers, who almost certainly have overlap with the autistics, which increases the chance of said Groypers being furries because being a furry is always a weird sex thing. As for the personal experience, when I was a teenager I was AF, gay, and a furry - albeit on the down low on alt accounts.

Frogs don't have scales though. If we were going by the pattern of calling them by their outermost layer I think they'd be called "skinnies" or something similar but that just doesn't sound right. Phibbies, maybe? Legitimate examples of frog fuckers are too few and far in-between for their to be an agreed upon term.

Groypers were just a bulbous-toad alternative to Pepe avvys that WN/wignat/alt-right/alt-lite twitter users started embracing when Pepe got more mainstream attention, such as becoming a twitch emote. Like most frog themes, it was fairly easy to edit so it gained traction quickly.
There are a few other frog gimmicks you can look up, like Apu Apustaja, which also started out innocently enough but is often adopted by unironic babyfurs who larp like toddlers.
I had a Groyper account myself, and wasn't on twitter when Fuentes started appropriating the gimmick for his simps.
 
Yes they're furries and yes I can imagine some lefty fur lurker who needs to publicly exclaim X person is a bad person would love to put some furry as a right winger to get them #Cancelled Ie kicked out of furry groups on telegram and get disinvited from the meets because "we don't allow fascists space" nonsense.

That being said nick should just come out as a furry already it's not like he objects to furry porn God knows he likes tranny/femboy porn if you look at 2D you probably look at furry.
