So my real question is how come a game about roman gladiator slave battles has a female as the slave master? I would have assumed for diversity points but at this point I'm pretty sure that isn't the case.

I played this game for years and always assumed the guy was more liberal not only because of the female protagonist, but all the flavor text portray the men around you as corrupt, lazy, and incompetent.

Basically, people didn’t like the fact that he referenced a programmer who said that most women can’t handle software engineering or coding as a whole, but didn’t care about it because at the end of the day it’s his own opinion and he’s entitled to it. He was just confused as to why the people trying to “cancel” him were only doing it because of something that they only didn’t like and wanted the rest of the player base to suffer for it.

I'm gonna have to disagree, the current zeitgeist is skewed so astronomically in one direction that people risk their lively-hood and safety to -Actually- speak truth to power and it should be encouraged and supported.

I bought the game, I doubt I'll ever play it, but it feels good knowing every dollar that I just spent emboldens him and potentially others to continue their discourse despite the backlash.
