Wouldn't releasing the tape as an October surprise be the best move? Might help secure a red wave and thus an environment most conductive to both his return and a vastly more effective 2nd turn now that he wouldn't be as hobbled by the Dems, RINOs, and Glowies?

Shouldn't Trump just release it if he has it, anyway? Pre-emptively expose them?

You forget that their hatred of Trump supersedes any thought and reason they have. Remember when they used the FBI as their personal intimidation squad?

Yes, but something like this has more uses than one. If Trump is fairly sure that the MAGA candidates will get in despite RINO shenagins, then it would be a waste of a powerful weapon.

LORD NO! Once this is used, it cannot be used again. Putting it down now would serve no purpose at all. Potentially in October closer to the election so it stays fresh in the mind, or after as a deterrent or weapon to make another event meaningless. But right now? There'd be no gain, it would be useless, wasted.

No, this would be Trump having the advantage. They handed him a massively potent political weapon they have absolutely no way at all of countering. Any narrative method they'd have of reducing the damage would be an admission -of- the damage. Trump gets to just sit pretty and laugh.

It is not a half-measure. Consider this, you are handed a powerful weapon but it can only ever be used once. You are expecting to have to be in a very long, very drawn out fight against forces within and without that vastly outnumber you and outgun you.

Now, do you use that weapon now to gain an immediate advantage? Or do you bide your time until something comes up that would be too hard to deal with normally?

It is political calculus, not half-measures. Determining if you are winning right now and choosing to save the weapon for later. There are other options to boost mid-term gains. Or hell, plenty of ways and desire for the Democrats to fuck things up more. And you can always wait until October to use it if it proves necessary.

I gota hand it to the lefties, they have created an entire generation of propaganda agents who do it for free simply because they were told "we are on the right side of history". Without the intrinsic and organic support of so many free agents the Democratic Party would be toast. The greatest irony is that higher education created a generation of unthinking thought police dedicated to an extent pure money would never buy.
