New account created an hour ago. I wonder why Reuters was the first account they followed? It does nothing but spam the same articles all day.

I recently made a twitter account and following someone off of an approved list was actually a requirement to finish registration. Could just be that but weird that they wouldnt have unfollowed them, maybe they're just too lazy. It's also pretty funny that all of their tweets only have a single like and it's always from themselves.

Kind of. The statement they put out is 100% right, if Cloudflare suddenly introduces moral judgements into who can survive on the Internet, they stand to take a massive hit to credibility and trust. The CEO clearly has his principles but it's not entirely at the cost of profits--it's a focus on long term risks to profits, instead of short term risks to profits caused by a whiny troon campaign.

Focus on the long term is now rare enough in tech leadership that it stands out as weird. All the big-thinking tech founders are gone or compromised now, I can only really name Elon Musk as one still thinking long-term and guiding his companies accordingly.

Lucas and co. are narcissistic idiots, so they can't comprehend that their feelings right now might not be the most important consideration. They're also wannabe commies, so they don't understand how profits actually work; after the comment about "the only thing capitalists understand" earlier today, it's clear they think business people break down and cry if a single dollar slips through their grasp.

Add to that Lucas not understanding how the Internet itself works (Streissand Effect), and it's easy to see how he can keep saying the most moronic garbage without seeing the obvious.
