Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

After skimming todays "lets do shit in linus's house sponsored by anker" video. I think his garage is larger than most of his employees apartments.

Guess it depends how many PC's you build a day really? If anything a small precision ratcheting driver is good for computer work.

Thats when you use powered drivers. You think people in factories are sitting there with manual drivers? No, you get a driver with a clutch and let it roll.

It's a mechanics tool first & foremost. Often you're in tight spots where you simply don't have the clearance to rotate the handle a full 360 so you're going a 1/2 turn then resetting the head. With the ratchet you can zing fasteners in & out a lot quicker. I have at least 5 ratchet drivers (Gearwrench & Snap On) loaded with different bits & shafts. Does the average guy need one? Probably not. Good to have around the house but.

If you're into spending Linu$ money on one buy the Gearwrench

If you're a cheap cunt that wants something that won't shit itself immediately try the Husky (this is rebranded worldwide)
To be honest, I doubt its gonna be too hard, maybe shitting on the price and other small details I wouldn't pick up on while using it, but I also watch his videos so I'm probably 100% wrong.

Judging by his willingness to buy it out of pocket i assume he'll be quite honest.

PF goes out of his way not to directly shit on things unless he has no other choice. I expect the harshest critique will be an overall score in the bottom half of the final results and completely ignoring the LTT screwdriver in his wrap-up.

But Linus simps - being the zoomer consoomers they are - will probably take this as a personal attack and fill up the comments feed with cope and seethe. Reddit and the LTT forums will also be full of cope and seethe, only without YT boomers pushing back.

What's with the corroded screwdriver bits on the store page? Even a third-rate AliExpress scammer would photoshop the rust off.

Which is the exact reason why when Gamers Nexus buys something for reviewing, like prebuilds for example, they make sure that their order looks like one of an ordinary customer instead of a YouTube reviewer, to make sure they get sent exactly what normal customers would get, because otherwise they'd get the special attention version of the product to make sure they won't assblast the company. And clearly this approach worked really well given how bad some of the prebuilds they've got were.
What is a prebuild?

The corroded bits are trying to show you can use normal bits with it (but that they don’t come with it) but there are many better ways to do it.

Uncle bunblefuck has been known to fuck stuff up, but he actually reads and listens to comments and will revisit as necessary.

factory lines would be run on air & have the right psi not to over torque fasteners.
not referencing mass production facilities more your on-site support staff.hell even if you’re only doing 2 or 3 if you’re on the clock & have 9 more jobs to do before lunch you take whatever time saver you can get. a lot of places for whatever reason you can’t use power tools even a little 3.4v cordless screwdriver so it’s hand tools only.

yeah but I ain’t never heard him shill anything for anyone. Iceback needs to get back into the BOLTers not cozy campfire vids

The magnetic wire management stuff is neat, but wildly impractical unless you're a techbro who updates everything twice a year imo. Also who the hell hot glues powerbars to stuff? Command strip velcro is cheap and hasnt failed me yet.

Unless you have a weird all metal desk you still need to install semi-permanent metal plates. At which point you might as well just use a bag of cheap plastic clips or some double sided gorilla tape. Same end result at a fraction of the cost.

Who's this pink haired thot? I skimmed it and see them drilling the case with the motherboard and shit already installed. Smart.

Skimmed more, oh look; their loop leaked and soaked the entire PC.

What is this shit?

One last edit: The project farm video is up.

Looks like he ranked it #2, under the PB Swiss.

Probably it's just personal preference and won't generally matter but I thought a little shaft wobble is ok, mostly cuz if you are working on a vibrating surface a stiff shaft will just transfer the vibrating force to your hand and wrist and cause discomfort, allowing a little wobble sorta dampens the vibrating force by having it all go to the shaft and not be transferred to the handle.

I watched it and the guy carefully avoids picking overall winners but it's pretty clear that while it's a competent screwdriver, it's a poor value proposition. The Megapro would've been much closer if they bothered their ass to include a magnet worth a damn. I'm glad in this instance he didn't try to include anything subjective like "comfort".

One test not included in the table was the force required to make the ratcheting mechanism fail and were it included, it would've probably closed the gap in the avg since the LTT screwdriver didn't do so well with that. (relative to the rest, it still met its specs)

Nitpicking I know, but does the Project Farm guy always talks as if he's trying to shout something through a loud crowd?

Yes. Every single video is like this.

This is Linus' takeaway from the video:
