I wish I could say burning through $100k is difficult, it’s so easy. Having been involved in the ‘acquisition’ and ‘distribution’ of that exact amount twice now. People tend to buy a modest car, first they’ll get all excited at the potential to have anything but then scale it way back ($10-$20k range). Going out to eat is about $300 every time, somehow. Weed is the first flex they can actually enjoy and that loses all meaning immediately. Live Resin, Rosin, etc. is more expensive and ruins your tolerance, making it cost more while feeling even more meaningless. You are now paying more for the same experience you had before, just much less of it. When they get down to their last $25k, they will start collecting appliances, clothes, material items before it’s gone. Actually spending more just to be done with it, the emptiness, and feelings of loss from having squandered everything. He is probably down to less than $60k by now.
