It's important to remember, Cloudflare is based in San Francisco, and the San Francisco cops are... Shall we say, a remnant of Mafia tactics adapted to the modern era. Google themselves have used them in the past to intimidate whistleblowers and physically block them from attending Federal inquiries into the company's actions, not to mention arresting a pro bono lawyer IN THE COURTHOUSE for getting a drug dealer off the hook completely. It's entirely possible that former Google troon has used those kinds of connections to accomplish this.
