I laughed my ass off when I got to part where Liz was trying to defend his technical skills, and I figure it's worth explaining so that everyone else can laugh at this incompetent sped too. I'll skip his weak cop-out about communication being a technical skill, because it should be intuitively obvious that if he had any technical skills he'd just list them instead of fucking with semantics. The real juice is what he says in #2 and #3. From the way he's talking you'd think "AoC" was some sort of prestigious competition or professional coding course or something, but in reality...

He's literally bragging about completing three sets of 25 small programming puzzles designed to be doable with "just a little programming knowledge." Completing the Advent of Code isn't evidence of any real proficiency, it's just a fun little game that requires minimal skill to participate. First year programming students do it, server admins who only know Bash do it, anyone with a mild interest in programming can do it. It's like claiming he's an architect because he put together a Lego set.

Him "speedrunning" AoC 2017 in 20 hours doesn't really mean shit either. The puzzles aren't meant to be time consuming — it's an Advent calendar so there's a new one every day. And if you waited until all of them were out so that you could speedrun them in one sitting, you'd have the advantage of being able to see the first half of each puzzle in advance, and possibly hearing people discuss their solutions to the trickier ones. I'm not saying he did that, but there's no way to prove that he didn't, so it's a pretty meaningless flex. AoC actually has built-in leaderboards where you get bonus points for being one of the first 100 people to complete a given puzzle, if he was ranked on those that might be worth bragging about, but he isn't.

If he actually knew his shit and had been doing technical work for years he could've easily rattled off a long list of projects he created/contributed to, software and programming languages he's proficient with, systems he's deployed/maintained, certificates he's earned, and/or patents he's authored. That's just what happens when you do technical work for 40+ hours a week: you achieve shit and you learn shit. Nobody with any real accomplishments in tech would try to use their ability to complete AoC as a flex, because it's baby shit and they'd look like a complete clown to anyone who knew what they were talking about.

tl;dr - this retard's defense of his technical skills is:

1. Communication is a technical skill, not a soft skill.
2. He completed three sets of 25 small programming puzzles for beginners.
3. He completed one set of those puzzles in 20 hours... after the puzzles and their answers became public knowledge that he easily could've looked at beforehand.
