Honestly the only thing that could work without turning completely gay would be a small forum thats basically just a thread thats a copy of this one and maybe threads for big events to avoid the live update spam. Finding someone willing to set it up and deal with moderation/issues with roommate content might be the hurdle. Also its probably going to take the people that only use KF for this thread some time to check here now that we are tor only.

There was. Then there was a point when Null had a loli spergout in the thread, people shittalked Null for it in the Discord, and someone leaked to the True and Honest board that those Vtuber fans were being mean to daddy Null (not the same person who reported the leak back to the Discord). Also there were six or so NSFW channels.

I understand some of the objections to Discord as a platform in general. But for a bunch of people who have to deal with "durr anime pedos" I'm surprised how quickly some thread users passed judgment based on that incident that "the Discord" was only for crying about Null and cooming. Much like this thread, any backup will discuss multiple topics and one can just ignore topics they don't want to discuss. I say this as someone who appreciates (appreciated?) the "no thirstposting" rule.

All he needs to find so far is an application-level DDoS mitigation and domain registrar. Both of which he might be able to do by himself (though it may be expensive, but I think crowdfunding would work).

In my humblest of opinion, I think Discord is still the best option that we have for  now
But, to avoid the gays shits that usually happene to a Discord servers, I believe there must be some very strict rules that everyone must agree to follow, such as a slow mode to reduce spamming a la Discord, and strict no porn shit. You know, rules that is pretty much the same as this New Zealan website

Yeah, I guess optimism isn't the right word. I just meant when it came to the forum, he was always saying how it would survive and get past the bullshit, always had a backup plan to the backup plan you know.

I personally believe that if we do use Discord as an alternative (for now), it's best that the server only has just a single channel, just like how this thread is, but with a slow mode on to discourage doubleposting and more editing of post

It's a shame though. We already splintered off when we moved to RU and now we splintered again to TOR. I feel like a lot of the average users here have no idea what the hell that even is.
More and more people aren't aware of where we are anymore. Not enough of us followed the Telegram page =(

That should be a calculated risk. Considering the closed nature of Discord, people who joined it are most likely only going to be the thread regulars. Inviting new people should be done only if they're absolutely clear the new people are fine with how the thread (and the Farm in general) culture are
