Wouldn't work for two reasons. First I'm pretty sure Null has said a growing userbase is important to keep the site financially afloat. Second, see the Matthew Prince thread, the opposition has sleeper accounts.

Should the worse-case scenario occur with APNIC, Yggdrasil could provide a means of overcoming a blockage at the registry level. As of now this isn't a terribly practical solution, but hosting KF through it could be the stress test the devs need in order to improve its resiliency.

Asking as someone who hadn't heard of Yggdrasil until 20 seconds ago, do they seem to be developed by people to would take the stress test as a challenge to overcome instead of a reason to kill the project lest it be used by "the wrong kind of people"?

Could someone explain to a boomer like me what the up and downsides of hosting a site on the Tor network are, besides it being less accessible?

Is it still susceptible to being taken down by middlemen companies terminating your accounts? Is it easier or harder to DDoS? Does it require more resources / better servers to host than a regular website with the same amount of users? Can the .onion address be taken from you like an IP address or domain name could?
