It might be possible but I wouldn't bet on the guy having connections, kiwifarms has just no value to protect. Everyone involved cares more about the bottom line than free speech. (nobody cares about free speech, quite the contrary - the tech industry has shown repeatedly that it loves playing the arbiter of what's allowed and not allowed communication, am I really the only one not really surprised by all this?)
I'm already used to connect to kiwifarms via different means because I live in germany and there's no free speech in germany besides the correct, official free speech and being connected to this site through any potential ISP logs would've probably never done me any favors in the future. I've been practicing for many years not to leave trails of my actual opinions online in ways they could be easily tracked back to my real identity, because I think it's possible that the atmosphere might just become more and more repressive. I hope it doesn't come to it, but I am also sure it is quite possible.
You have to take a step back and think about what actually happens here - kiwifarms is threatened with more virtol than places online that host actual, honest-to-god terrorists, crime and child pornography. There's literally been murders and rapes livestreamed on Facebook that stayed up longer than the fedposts here. Where's facebooks block because it's imminent threat to life? It's all just flimsy excuses. They consider the size of the place and the opinions spoken here the real threat, that's why they're tearing it down. That's also why I don't think they'll stop until it's become irrelevant in some way.
For me the worst and scariest thing is people just eating it up without having a critical thought for themselves. I see people posting in other places how this site is for organizing gangstalking, threatening and harassing people. They've obviously never ever been curious to just enter "kiwifarms.net" into their browser bar and see for themselves, else they'd know that this simply isn't true at all. They just take what's said to them at absolute face value without even trying to question it. Seeing grown men having real work and paying taxes talking of this place in hushed tones like it's some mafia front in their area is really fucking depressing. People who speak up in very moderate ways that it isn't true get shouted down immediately by the mob and worse, for the sole crime of having a different opinion. When people behave like cattle like this, they can't be surprised being treated like cattle by billionaires and governments.
