Saw this pic posted on the Milwaukee subreddit. 2 comments. Zero comments on the video (stream? Dunno, don't care). Whereas posts about "Anyone else lose power?" and "Shooting on Water Street?" have over 30 each. No one cares, Joe, if even reddit DGAF. Wonder which stage this was.

Back to midterm stuff, it seems @Salubrious might be onto something regarding New York (@Jaimas can confirm or or deny too). Something something Trafalgar right-wing biased, but when was the last time in recent memory you saw a NY Dem governor in a public poll within 5 points of their Republican opposition?

If you think a Republican has a chance taking the Governorship NY State you're insane, the polling is fucked intentionally, its suddenly a "nailbiter" and both candidates now have justification to buy political ads and pump the donors for cash. One hand rubs the other, most of these polling outfits are owned by the media who benefits from casting the race as a close one. Then voting date comes around and the red team guy will get obliterated by 20 points or more.

Where are all of his hundreds of thousands of voters from Milwaukee? In 2020, they were so excited for him, they stayed awake until 3 AM to cast their ballots for him, but now, only a few short years later, they don't want to go see him when he comes to town?

Of course, there's also the Endgame-class scenario that Saudi Arabia has been lying about the quantity of Oil they have left and we're starting to see them exhaust their easily tapable reserves. Obviously I can only speak anecdotally and that Trafalgar poll is a huge outlier, but I'm seeing a fuckton more signs for Smiley than I expected. Even when I leave my neighborhood and go into Bellevue for work there's a lot more around the more immediate Seattle fringes.
I saw today when taking my dog to the park that someone's gone around and tore down/knocked over all the signs for Republican candidates on the usual corners. Could be a dumb angry kid, but I'm hoping it's some local party functionary dealing with their sense of frustration.
