Your kids or grandkids are going to read about 1/6 alongside Pearl harbor in their history books. That will happen. They will learn about how the middle aged men and streamers tried to topple democracy by standing on desks and throwing paper around. Sometimes I wish I would just die in my sleep.
Enough boosters and well, I like your chances.

While 9/11 was BAD (really bad), read some interesting reflections on Benghazi, which also happened today and you hear little to nothing about. One of the very few survivors described how they were hung right the fuck out there to dry (die) and anybody that could provide support was made to stand down.

Kids won't read about that in any history book, period.

Meanwhile DC being lit ablaze by communists in the Summer of Love will be seen as a celebration of democracy

And then it becomes part of pop history, enshrined as a moment in US history except for those scholars who say "well, AKSHUALLY, it was just a bunch of old dudes wandering around and the government was in no danger of being overthrown." At least once scholars "discover" this around 50-60 years from now. But who knows, maybe it'll be like George Washington and the cherry tree where pretty much everyone knows its fake.

Showing what actually happened on Jan 6th will be the rallying cry/video /presentation from that asshole kid that wants to make his teacher look like a idiot for the next 30 years.

On a lighter note the Sinfest guy has gone completely rogue and made a pretty good Dark Brandon story line:

@Feline Supremacist would Trump be considered wanting to fuck the Queen with that post? I'd like to know. Didn't he leave the Queen waiting in the rain?
afaik he wasn't posting on truth social about wanting to bang old hags, but we do know his taste runs to models and porn stars with big racks so the answer to your butthurt post is: no.

Biden and this presidency are ridiculous, but there's an intentional prohibition on making fun of this clown show in the mainstream media. Luckily, it's so ridiculous that the JV squad can handle it, like they're the "women's Olympic soccer team" of administrations.

I think Trump actually was fairly transparent on a lot of things past admin weren't. Trump's goals always seemed to be very in public view even if it was Greatest Ally stuff or the Wall. The Press hammered him on shit, but Trump would rightfully call them faggots in his own way.

His lack of decorum allowed him to cut throw obvious bullshit that everybody knew was bullshit. There are certain traditions and rituals the bureaucracy uses to hide their bullshit and I think Trump was an open threat to that because the press had to cover it because Trump did things flagrantly. Trump wanted to target certain issues and only those issues and he was shut down. I think he might of done it for Ego, but that's still better than the antedelluvians in power who just want to keep being in power.

Sen. Chuck Schumer on Sunday pushed the federal government to give New York at least $1.5 billion to help get illegal guns off the streets.
The Democrat Senate majority leader said the new Interstate Task Force on Illegal Guns, spearheaded by Gov. Kathy Hochul, will only work if the feds and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has the resources to “choke off crime.”
“The ABCs of beating back the scourge of gun violence depends on three federal letters: A, T and F,” he said at a press conference in Manhattan.SNIP

WASHINGTON (AP) — Peiter “Mudge” Zatko, the Twitter whistleblower who is warning of security flaws, privacy threats and lax controls at the social platform, will take his case to Congress on Tuesday.
Senators who will hear Zatko’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee are alarmed by his Twitter allegations at a time of heightened concern over the safety of powerful tech platforms.
It’s Zatko’s second Capitol Hill appearance, and in some ways a 21st-century echo of his first. In 1998, he testified before a Senate panel along with fellow members of a hacker collective who warned about the security dangers of the then-emerging internet age.SNIP

I don't mean media as in journalism. I mean media as in television film etc. No mainstream entertainer or company is allowed to mock Biden or the admin anywhere, and when it sometimes slips out, the responsible party is punished. Supposed comedy shows have to shut up and pretend everything is fine.

That first article is from January.

Yeah, there's a number of people I've talked to who say that SNL's decline stems in part from their complete unwillingness to make fun of the last couple Dem presidents. People see it as partisan, and they tune out.
