In a TOR only future for the farms, only Internet & Technology will survive. - subtitle (optional)

The problem is that there are too many retards that go out of their way to fuck with other retards. The whole "just document" thing is lost with a lot of people. I don't mind only being able to use tor. I've seen a clear reduction in the retarded antics around here when the options of access are limited.

The retarded antics were half the fun. I often enjoyed spergs in the threads more than I enjoyed the person the thread was supposed to be about. :(

But I'm on Tor right now and I don't like the internet or technology.

Right, if the retards don't come here then that would require going to other sites to follow the retards, and that doesn't seem like an appealing option because the internet and technology sucks. What is a person supposed to do, make a social media account like some kind of asshole? Bollocks.

Plus it's communally agreeing that they're better than other newer/more insane users that keeps many older users unified.

Give it enough time and I'm sure they'll eventually learn how to use Tor too, but I'm sure they'll fuck something up in trying to access Kiwifarms via Tor which will only make it more amusing.

Personally I see being Tor only as purely positive. The forum has long had an issue with normie newfags shitting up the place, and tech illiterate retards getting their accounts compromised which leads to those accounts being used to shit up the place by the ones who breach them. Being exclusive to Tor brings with it a minimum level of tech knowledge for accessing the forum, while scaring away the normies. I expect we'll lose some people, but the people we lose aren't quality posters anyway imo.

The old Community Happenings thread was a complete shitshow and it could get really annoying. The new one is very nicely cleaned up and much better. I miss the old one. If a stupid slapfight flared up and it was max 8 posts long and contained on one page that was fine, could even be funny, it was like a preview of what awaited in the linked thread.

I don't read the community happenings thread but I do read all the "debate user X on Y" split threads.

My only problem is the constant annoyance of having to log in every time I get on.
Yeah that's kind of annoying, also it's dumb that the forum still defaults to checking the "stay logged in" box which would be an issue if checked.

Cookies can only be accessed by their origin and get deleted when you close the window so it quite literally doesn't matter

I was kinda wondering if the place will still be around when I come back, good that it is.

It's hard to build a community on Tor and that the place isn't tarded up with the first honest-to-god nazis, pedos and schizoscreeping in like in every other tor-only community is probably only because registrations are still locked down. How sustainable this really is ( = how well moderation works) will only be really known if registrations are open again.

Other than that, I like tor. I used to use tor occasionally for kiwifarms in the past but it often didn't work well. Will be nice if it gets more attention now. A lot of places these days are very aware of pretty much all VPNs and you actually end up getting locked out a lot less coming from a tor exit node now, as funny as that sounds.

Tor is almost definitely compromised and in the long run it will be zogged like clearnet, it's good for now though
Ok so I'll explain this to you, TOR relays your connection through three boxes if you're accessing clearnet sites, kinda like a multirelay VPN. You'll have to run through 3 compromised nodes, which is almost impossible, to be able to deanonymize you. So there is a very small non-zero-chance to be deanonymized, which you already are if you're just using the clearnet, so it's just better to be safe and use TOR.

If you're accessing hidden services, the chances become even lower, since you relay through 6 nodes, which makes the possibility of ever deanonymizing you to near-zero, which basically means the glowniggers will never get you unless the whole TOR network is completely seized by law enforcement, which probably will never happen thanks to volunteers who do it for free.

You can see that it does actually relay through 6 nodes. The 3 "Relay"s in the bottom are picked by the "rendezvous point" and you don't know what those "Relay"s are, and they also doesn't know who you are.

So TOR is quite safe, and will be for a very long time. I wouldn't recommend you to fearmonger around about its safety now that you've read this.
What about I2P?
I2P works in a similar way but it's a bit different. In TOR you have separate nodes which are operated by randos on the internet/glowniggers, but in I2P everyone is a client AND a relay, making it much harder to obfuscate the network, and unlike TOR, the I2P network is fluid and behaves more like a organism of botnets, which means it re-evaluates the network every moment. I personally like I2P better than TOR. I won't list all the reasons here.

I2P generally does not support connecting to clearnet sites, it is a true "dark web". There is something called an outproxy that does the same thing as TOR but it is disabled by default and basically none of public outproxies like false.i2p work because why the fuck would you want to access the clearnet which is run by niggercattle?

Quick note here: The reference implementation of I2P is written in Java and is horrifyingly slow, thankfully there is a C++ implementation called i2pd which can run on your toaster. J*va loses again.

You might like to read https://i2pd.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorials/http/ to host an I2P website(eepSite) using i2pd, it's quite easy.
