(Type out your post, copy it to clipboard, then reload the page before replying or editing. The site is currently set up to bounce between circuits every 60 seconds or so, which screws up a lot of on-page scripting.)

In Graf's dox they have a picture of him as a kid so unless they allowed an ~8 year old girl to troon out in the mid-90s, he isn't actually trans.

Related, a lot of Poast users have shockingly bad opsec. The lefties doxing them are far from super hackers, these dudes are legit posting pictures of themselves and giving out their geographical information. I am surprised no one has emphasized how stupid that is, especially when Graf and prominent users like Borzoi have been doxed to hell and there are journos from Huffpo poking around.

Borzoi also looks like a total goon, the white race really needs better saviors.

One other question: is this contempt or disdain for the communities that have cropped up from Fediverse instances (or rather in this case Poast itself) been a long-standing one or one that has only amounted within (and pardon me if I'm presuming incorrectly) within the past few weeks/months?

To me it comes across as that none of this "drama", should you call it that, is particularly recent but that it's certainly boiled over in several cases. I find it hard to just outright assume that a discussion over Poast's rules about loliposting, causing an admin to quit, yadayada, the list goes on, is not something that simply happens over a 24h period.

Is this discussion going on elsewhere that any outsider should be mindful of so we know more of the whole true and honest picture of things?

One guy that left poast because of me stated that they were able to bully new users off the site before, but now there's too many, so I think this is a continuation of a long running effort within certain parts of poast's community.

I think the problem is since it's an anime/free speech node, it's going to have alot of anime fans that post lots of anime fanart, and a vast amount of it is sexual in nature. One other big problem is alot of anime fans disagree on what is true "Lolicon" and what isn't. They also disagree not just on that but on what is an unacceptable depiction and what is fucked up but tolerable. There's also a disagree on what is NSFW too. Is art with cameltoe R18 or not, etc. I'm not a fan of all the anime porn being posted on the main timeline either, but all of it that I've seen so far luckily is just big tit shit.

I think it's just a symptom of it being a board with a large amount of anime culture, and banning pornography would be extremely difficult, and since he does most of the sweeping, it would make things astronomically more difficult to moderate.

This is of course all conjecture and theory. I don't think Graf is a pedophile or a danger to children is all.

Basically, it would cause a ton of fucking infighting and drama. He's found a questionable but happy medium. I know nothing about him and haven't been on here long though, so this is all my theory.

And yes, I'm biased. It's a fun site.

Moderation tools has been a gripe of the Soapbox dev since the beginning of his time joining Pleroma development. One of the major flashpoints with the Pleroma devs was him merging in a pull request that actually gives the moderator role the ability to do moderation, prior to that only the administrators could do such things. Ban reasons being created is a matter of course for any social media project that grows beyond 10-100 people, you come back months or years later and wonder "Why the fuck did I ban this guy?" Recently Alex Gleason has been adding in stuff like tags so you can tag people who donate to the site or parody accounts. This is less about KF affecting poast and more a general desire for such tools because instances are becoming large enough that the administrators no longer know every single individual user and Soapbox itself is used on sites like Truth Social and Trump's guys need these tools to handle leftist fedposters trying to badjacket his site. The total sum of assholes coming from here and fucking with poast is trivial compared to the deluge of Twitter cancer that arrived in September when Metokur got banned off Twitter.

I've got some bad news for fediverse shit in general, then: you're going to see exactly that, if only at a minimum to ban it. I've been at this for years and I still see lolicon from time to time, and I'm pretty judicious about banhammering that trash when I do see it. Price of freedom, I suppose.
