I can't be too harsh on people thinking it was bullshit. The alternative is having to accept that yes, the Establishment really is full of retards and crazy people and that's a tough one. Unless you're an almost terminally politically cynical ass like me. Most people want to believe the system still works. Auron MacIntyre has pointed out that the retarded, suicidal insanity of our current "elites" is partially driven by the fact that they've never actually lost before and they mentally can't accept that it's even a possibility. All their bullshit ideas have to work because it's always been fine in the past. Remember that most of our "elites" are where they are because of networking and connections, not because of ability or talent or hard work.
The bus of the West is rolling downhill to a cliff, on fire, the people driving it have never driven a car before but they know they got this it can't be that different from a bike, while the everyone in the back is hoping against hope that they're right.

If only. Remember, the Politispergs like us are the exception. We're telling everyone to bail out for various reasons, but equally varied reasons, most people aren't willing too. Skin in the game, sunk cost fallacies, just general unbelief that it could be that bad, even the thought that our political leaders can't possibly be that venial and dumb, lots of reasons. I'm not saying this to blackpill anyone, blackpilling is counter-productive, but just because it's the reality. It really is that bad, in the short term things are fucked, in the moderate-to-long term it'll be fine. You just have front row seats to witness the end of a Glubb cycle of a global hegemon, which is a first.
The good news is that as much as they want a global, totalitarian surveillance state, the powers that be are retarded and will fuck it up. The whole thing was set up by very shrewd and intelligent people, but they're handing it off to soy-latte drinking danger hairs and troons.

And Russia's general forces can be incompetent whilst their special forces are still competent. Russian special forces are amongst the best in the world; they're a highly trained and motivated, a professional volunteer force that serves out of patriotism and duty. But how? The only division this would create is Germany maybe being mad at a Polish politician for celebrating it and the US for blowing it up. What would the point of division be anyways? Seriously, the most common reaction to this I've seen has mostly been finger pointing at the US while we scratch our heads and wonder why. This doesn't seem to be creating NATO infighting so much as wondering if the left hand of the US government doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Which in terms of foreign policy is completely believable, since the State Department is run by retards with connections and our country is run by the wife of a man with dementia and Obama's third stringers.

Based on Biden and Nuland's comments prior to the war, I'm more inclined to believe that it's the handiwork of the US. Kill NS1 & 2 and ensure that Germany doesn't fold to the Russians. Time will tell, though...

I'm not entirely convinced that Europe hasn't strongly approved of this under the table. Forcing an Ally into a do or die situation is not the sort of move that goes unopposed, no matter how willing they are to try for the "Do" part of it. However, these are people high on the perceived power of media and manipulation. Smashing the pipeline would be in Europes best interest, because now they cannot be held politically responsible for the energy crisis, in their eyes. They believe they can just tell the people "Hey its broken we literally can't turn it on even if we wanted to now, we're stuck with this situation", and hope that the people will grumble and go on living, instead of rioting in the street.
Remember, they just got away with locking down the world for years off the back of the worlds tamest pandemic, in which they made it all but illegal to even think it wasn't a big deal. I would not be surprised in the slightest if they thought they could repeat this trick on an even more impactful event now. Especially since they seem to think that "Suffer to support Ukraine" worked so far. The US might have pulled the trigger, but the European elites gave the thumbs up.
Its a bold strategy, Cotton, lets see how it works out for them.
