Even these days I like his content with the strongly noted exception being his podcast. It's transparently lazy filler content.

TGW seems like a funny joke dragged out longer than it should be. I get how the podcast may function well as white noise, but white noise is a highly competitive field and Sam Hyde's attempt at it doesn't particularly stand out and frankly I'm kind of salty that they churn it out so much while funny shit like Happy World Daddy just stops being made.

His current crew is basically a group of people who are just internet trolls he hired people that would otherwise be making stuff like killallpedos and mc jarbo. They aren't that funny but they are pretty good at the troll like old adult swim edits.

Not sure if this has been posted here but I was listening to an infowars interview with Sam and he went into why he and Charls don't talk anymore. When World Peace was about to be cancelled someone at Adult Swim gave them an ultimatum, they said you can keep the show if you denounce the alt-right and make a public apology. Sam stuck to his guns and refused to do it and Charls saw that as a sort of betrayal throwing away years of hard work over politics.

Can't blame him. It would only have been the first of an endless line of concessions. It never ends at just the one issue, and I do think for all of his flaws Sam recognized that earlier than most.
