Even if it were lower pedos would just lower their standards along with it. For some of them its the fact that they are illegal that gets them going.
As for the actual argument, I suppose it comes down to at what age is a person mentally ready for sex? Some countries say 18, some say 16, and some states here say 14. And some like
@James Terry Mitchell Jr will say its 9.
One win against Universal and they get a chip on their shoulder.
Listen I dont think someone should be punished for writing a stupid thesis in college. You do stupid shit in college: Having drunk sex, doing drugs, having stupid opinions that you base your thesis on. If one so chooses, anything that happens in college, should stay in college. But when you start advocating for those stupid ideas and bring them out of the college sphere thats when you deserve to be called out on them. Especially if your ideas conflict with the company youre working for.
Also of note: One of the points she makes is that the federal AoC is 13 in Japan and 18 in the US. She is technically correct on this. But the states and territories in both Japan and the US have different AoCs and the main difference is that in Japan the territories AoC is higher than the federal AoC and in some areas its 18 just like US federal law, while in the US the States have a lower AoC than the federal AoC sometimes down to 14. This results in a hodgepodge system but they mostly turn out to be similar
Im not sure how this comes into play in our system but from what I understand the feds will only go after you if you crossed state lines and the states cant come after you because the AoC is lower than 18? Maybe
@AnOminous knows.
