General GunTuber thread

Why would you upload a Q&A video and not use the chapter feature that youtube gives you to parse all the questions? Why would you not put timestamps into the video description or a pinned comment? Why does a fan need to do it and then you pin that? Karl once again bringing his sheer laziness and lack of drive to the forefront of his work, this is his biggest failing too since the production quality of his videos has not increased at all really in the past twelve or so years that he's been doing this, sure the picture quality has improved and the sound quality has gone from "ear bleedingly poor" to "passable" but that's mostly the camera and mic, not anything he's done on the back end.

Ian posts an update to the drama.
So the meat of it got dropped, they now have to go by literal hearsay in that the "trade secrets" were shared and would reasonably be expected to go public. That explains the claims that anybody could just walk into the GWACs shop and see everything from parts to blueprints out in the open.

They may get out of this yet.

Did Karl develop a heavy drinking habit or something? Like, both Ian and Karl are getting older and Ian certainly loves himself a good Scotch, but Karl is looking 55 going on 60 and last I checked he's only 48.

Dude, take care of yourself.

Personally I think it's just the desert. It does shit to people.

Comes off as marketing bullshit. Also, I still have no idea what in the world "recce" is supposed to stand for
Reconnoiter or reconnaissance, take your pick. I've seen both, and they're basically synonyms, anyway.

He's said his share of retarded shit about guns.
Hence, mostly. No one's right all the time, but he's better than the average keyboard commando. I have to give him credit for that, even if I think he's a fucking dipshit on most other topics.

If that’s the entire point to the rifle, then wouldn’t any lightweight rifle (M1 Carbine, Winchester 94, Marlin Model 60) work? If I’m scouting something out and come across a force, I should probably be leaving instead of firing and making my presence known

Well, yeah. The problem is you're thinking about this logically. Logic makes marketing hard, because it means products actually have to be good.

That said, the WWSD is a very light rifle, so it'd probably be pretty solid for innawoods shit, though I don't recall them advertising it as such.

Yeah, sort of. I guess they fit the role in theory, but in terms of the marketing of the whole recce thing it's supposed to be sort of a more modern "fighting rifle". In reality, a literal M4 clone with a 14.5 pinned and a standard 4x ACOG would probably fill the criteria of what people consider "recce", so it's not as special as it sounds... it definitely seems more of a gunbro marketing thing.

Thanks /k/iwifarms for helping me realize that my entire deer hunting loadout of a light rifle, a reload or two for whatever I'm carrying, and just enough food and gear to spend the night in the woods if I get lost in the dark makes me some super elite operator (except for me neglecting to throw my kettlebells).
