It's a PR job for a video game company. That's basically their version of being a model and it's a step above booth babe. All you have to do is look cute and maintain a quirky personality. I doubt Nintendo cared about her resume after they saw her headshots.

So this incident pretty much stemmed from the fact that incest and head petting in a Fire Emblem game didn't get localized in the States, and angry GGers went and uncovered some dirt from the evil localization team which revealed a pro child porn activist which in itself is sparking outrage from GGers.
