US Waukesha massacre suspect Darrell Brooks pleads not guilty to all charges - It was the SUV

The Milwaukee man accused of killing six people and running over dozens with an SUV at a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisc. pleaded not guilty to every charge laid against him.

According to the local Fox affiliate, Darrell Brooks, 39, pleaded not guilty to all 77 charges against him.

Brooks remains in jail on $5 million bail. GoFundMe confirmed to FOX Business in November that they removed the fundraiser for violating the crowdsourcing platform's Terms of Service. Additionally, the person who launched the fundraiser, reportedly a man named James Norton, will no longer be permitted to use the platform for any future fundraisers.

The courts have said that there is ample evidence against Brooks, as well as testimony from police detective Thomas Casey, who described how Brooks plowed into citizens even after some yelled at him to stop. Brooks allegedly "zigzagged" across the street "for blocks" at the family event.

Victims include an 8-year-old boy, along with members of the Dancing Grannies troupe, that was performing in the parade.

Public defender Anna Kees said that her defendant could not turn off the route, and that he did not intend to hit pedestrians. She also said that Brooks couldn't bring himself to look at photos of the crimes he allegedly committed.

When the trial opened Monday morning, Brooks repeatedly interrupted Dorow before the first prospective jurors were brought into the courtroom. Within seven minutes, Dorow called a recess and sent Brooks back to his holding cell.

"I cannot tolerate that, and I won't tolerate that," Dorow said to Brooks.

Nigga he's black. Compassion does not exist in someone like this and every time you assume otherwise, another killing like this is allowed to happen as a result. To him, the only good White person is a dead one and that includes children and old ladies. I guarantee you there is not a shred of guilt in his mind, he sleeps like a baby knowing he murdered these people and when (not if) he walks, he's going to murder more people.

If he were white this would be a 40 paragraph screed about Nazis and Trump and nationalism and hate crimes and they would have dug up every last spec of dirt on the guy to include.

He moved to dismiss the claim. This dumb motherfucker thinks he can murder a bunch of grandmas and a small child and walk away using some secret sovereign citizen password or some shit. The media won’t cover this case because they know it would make the entire black community look bad. Darrell isn’t exceptional, he’s perfectly representative of his community.

I have to ask myself when I see this trial in action: why are we going through with this? It's not funny, there's no doubt or argument, it's clear as day that he did it purely out of hate. Brooks does not care one bit as evident by his performance in court.

Just publicly execute the fucker already. It's a waste of time going through legal proceedings.

I'm a Wisconsinite and I'm following this story from the local news outlets, aside from that the interesting parts is that he's not only disrupting the courtroom but he also wants to represent himself. Normally a disruptive defendant can be removed and witness the trial by way of camera but he has a constitutional right to cross-examine witnesses and aid in his defense. So I'm just wondering wtf this judge is going to do to hold a proper trial for the guy.


Of course we already know the outcome of the trial will be multiple life sentences since he has withdrawn his insanity plea.

You know, when that SUV first hit that crowd of people I said that 'this could have been my SUV'. Another way of saying that is that SUV could have been mine 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the automotive community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the automotive community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.

Wisconsin public kept voting in referendum to not have a state death penalty and there hasn't been a vote to bring it back for years, to my chagrin. The best case scenario is he gets 97,000 life sentences and is killed in jail before the parole board decides in 10 or 20 years that he a gut boi who turnt he life around and lets him out to kill more white people.

Last week, Dorow ruled Brooks, 40, could act as his own lawyer after he waived his right to an attorney. She allowed his two public defenders to withdraw from the case. During those hearings, Brooks said he wanted to represent himself as a "sovereign citizen."

"Sovereign citizens believe they are not under the jurisdiction of the federal government and consider themselves exempt from U.S. law," according to an article from the Southern Poverty Law Center.
