No, the Republicans literally introduced legislation for a nation-wide abortion ban a few weeks ago. And of course, all of you "THE STATES SHOULD DECIDE" retards are totally fine by this because you want to push your religious shit on the rest of us. None of you Republican boomers actually care about states rights, you just want to be able to punish people you don't like (women who have sex, gays, minorities)There isn't a nationwide abortion ban. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade which was used as a kind of blanket ruling to institute some other dumb national policy not actually related to abortion. Specifically it was overturned because Roberts believed you would need to codify a lot of other rulings by default (15 week, 10 week, teen, whatever else Kennedy did, etc. bans) before any substantial decision on Roe v. Wade could be made. This would take a million years and nobody wanted to sit through it so they just voted to get rid of Roe v. Wade, which was already contentious because of mentioned dumb national policy.
With that ruling overturned states will now determine whether they allow abortion or not. States that accepted abortion & codified it into their constitution are still abortion-friendly while abortion-unfriendly states have that same freedom. With like one or two exceptions all states still permit abortion up to 18 weeks because of state policy. People are sensationalized over Roe v. Wade because of a leak and because they were told to be. Until somebody gets quads & Giga-Nigga Clarence plows through a blue state like Burnin' Sherman to personally stuff a cork into every impregnated vag you're getting worked up over nothing.
They've literally already tried. For a person who claims to be on the left, you sure do a lot of defending of theocracy. This is actual schizo conspiracy nonsense.
And? We aren't Europe. I don't want laws based on religious bullshit. After 15 weeks aka almost 4 months. This is not some conservative extremist policy, this is the standard most of Europe uses.
Except some states are now working to ban birth control and I am willing to bet interracial marriage and gay marriage are next. In fact, Tennessee is working on getting rid of gay marriage, which of course you're fine with despite totally being a left winger. And of course, you'll be fine with that when it does happen because you want those things banned. And no other politician backed him on that. Clarence can say whatever the fuck he wants, but unless every other justice suddenly dies or the courts are heavily packed that is just his take and will never manifest.
Nope, some states, like Louisiana, are trying to ban birth control. Tennessee is working on banning gay marriage. For someone who claims to be a left winger, you should seem fine with theocracy and Republican religious bullshitAgain, more schizo nonsense. The most I could find is that some states rescinded programs giving free birth control.
You're literally just reeing about nothing. Your biggest gripes with the right are "THEY ARE GOING TO BAN ABORTION (after 15 weeks) AND TAKE AWAY ACCESS TO (free) BIRTH CONTROL". These are literal nonissues at the best of times, let alone when we're on the precipice of WW3 and Great Depression 2 electric boogaloo.
Anyway, we are way off topic here and we should probably stop before we get threadbanned
