Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

For one thing, V on the Corpo track is a guinea pig to Arasaka until he isn't. For another, the events of the last episode have David fulfilling that guinea pig role anyway.

BTW, I suspect the unexpected and (underdeserved) positive reaction to the anime may lead to Rebecca and David being revived in some form.
What's wrong with the anime? Seems alright from what i've heard?

Otherwise with all the "Happy Endings" fan art i've seen (particularly Rebecca) i wouldn't be surprised if they did try to bring at least one of them back, and the fans would eat it the fuck up. However i don't think it would be in an anime form, i highly doubt there will even be a season 2 as the anime was essentially a big commission from CDPR. So whatever return they make it would have to be in the games.

The anime isn't really inconsistent since the cyberpsychosis is clearly a result of faulty mods (Barret's gun arm that Davido retardedly installs) and experimental military-grade mods that he was secretly a corporate test candidate for, which in the last case is so overtuned that it comes with a gigantic integrated med dispenser and they went to extreme trouble to manipulate him into using it just to gather test data after he demonstrated tolerance to the first one.
Just saying; the characters believe the corpo line wholesale but the truth of it still fits with the central conspiracy.

Man I'm the same, I pretty much hundred percented it at launch and I've been resisting coming back until whatever DLCs/stupid Elder Scrolls mods that are gonna happen drop first. I've been thinking about another run since the moment I put it down. But when I do I would like it to be bananas.
What makes it worse for me is that there's some really awesome mods out for Cyberpunk 2077 that I want to try, but I dunno if I should bother because patch 1.7 is going to add some good stuff too. Combine that with my Warhammer 3 campaign and my NG+ run of Elden Ring that I want to finish and I just feel so indecisive right now.

It's always better to put it off as long as you can. Cool mods tend to appear out of left field; there'll be even more of them when you do.
I'm like this with Factorio at the moment, I'm in the mood again but there's a big expansion that's already at the testing phase apparently. And my habitual decade-ish break from Dwarf Fortress feels like it might be over already but they're working on a new version so I guess I can stand to wait another five years.

I'll just play some other shit instead. Remember the untouched part of your steam library is always twice as big as you thought

It's light, it's fun, has good kinetic action scenes with high budget animation peppered with light, fun story movements and depressing sober story telling. The characters are all likeable in their own way.

The ending song music video is basically the feel of edgerunners series compressed to 4 minutes:

So give the series a shot if you find any part of that interesting.

Well. I am ready for the wild ride part 2. Lets see how you can fix or fuck this up Project Red.

Keep in mind, they literally had to strong arm him into that, and it actually ended up backfiring on them. They wanted to entice him back and have him test the hardware on their own terms.

i feel like an old fuck but i have no interest whatsoever on the anime for this shit. whats the deal with it
Every weaboo pedo pervert is simping for a sexualized japanese cartoon child character because nips can't stop being pedophiles and that somehow makes CPR's ugly, buggy, messed up game good. All the nasty shit CPDR did is forgotten because nips made a Cyberpunk cartoon.

It really begs the question why Arasaka didn't just use a backdoor to shut David down. It happens to V in the corpo prologue; why isn't there such a failsafe in the cyberskeleton if it's so powerful and expensive? They were evidently banking on David being able to take out a whole Militech platoon by himself; what was the plan after he did so? Just let Adam Smasher handle it? Not very prudent considering it's a weapon system meant to one up his existing capabilities.

Also Rebecca isn't a child. We're not playing by Australian government rules.

Considering you're dealing with highly experimental cyberware, do you really want to introduce a potential failure point like a remote failsafe into it during a field test to see if it even works as intended? That's the sort of thing you add in for production models when all the kinks have been worked out and you know it won't accidentally fry someone's spine should a lucky hit trigger it.
