In my evil playthrough, I sent Packie to the Atrulism cult. I immediately regretted it.

There is evil and then there is stupid evil.

Its why I cant stand a lot of evil choices in games. A lot of them are just "stupid evil" instead of "pragmatic" evil since a lot of them tend to be self sabotaging.

Agreed. That's why I reverted back to an earlier save to keep Packie as a heist member. That decision is non-canon anyway. It doesn't make sense for Trevor to send random people to a cult.

The one thing I've seen from these leaks that really makes me worried is having a car mechanic similar to the RDR2 horse. I feel like the horse worked mainly because the world of RDR2 was mostly empty so you can ride around fast without a lot of worry and if you did crash it, it would heal on its own, not instantly get totaled and could be instahealed anyways with items you carry everywhere. Yet even in Saint Denis, riding the horse any faster than a walk was a good way to just trample people and spaz out on random objects. With cars in GTA the driving has always been kinda funky so unless you drive painfully slow your still going to be denting the thing constantly or full on crashing it at worst. But what do you do when you completely fuck up your main car? Like will every repair have to be done at shop or are you going to have some stupid insta repair thing on you? I guess maybe its just how I play but I always saw cars in GTA as a fully expandable resource since you could steal them so easily with no consequence which means you could drive as recklessly and fast as you wanted without worry since there was always cars to steal and wreck. Having to obey traffic laws so I don't wreck my special car that has all my shit in it seems like it will really kill pacing if thats how it's going to work.

I believe GTA IV did moral choices better by offering multi-dimensional characters in its world.

GTA Online had a similar mechanic with car ownership. Although cars I feel were more "durable" in V compared to previous games. At least with collisions.

Even r/GTA is starting to grow tired for the next game to come out.

Why do you say that? It's not even the development time; it's what they're doing with that supposed time.
1. You can't live up to expectations when people are waiting over 5 years for a sequel, let alone 10+ years.

2. It was already bad enough when a game didn't hit sales figures because of bloated budgets, now we're looking at bloating them up even more?

3. Unless Sony and Microsoft decide to stop following the 6-7 year console cycle, we're going to keep experiencing this goofy cross generational/no next gen games thing.

First thing I saw this trailer, I thought Pegorino was the mayor. I could see Brucie using limo rides.

I hope GTAO isn't canon because if that clusterfuck is legit then that means GTA series are done for. and apparently GTA6 is based on the after events of GTAO
Also I hate how they treated Johnny

Back to IV, I just love the dynamic between Niko, Roman, Florian and Darko.

All four of them grew up in horrible conditions in Eastern Europe. Niko, Florian and Darko fought in an unspecified war, which has affected all of them in different ways.

Niko wanted answers, Darko turned into an addict, Florian transformed into somebody else. I feel Niko is stuck in the middle between the two. Florian is a foil to Niko's quest for revenge by moving on into a new city, while Darko could be considered a warning to Niko's future if he doesn't move on.

Probably for the best that Niko is self-contained in IV, who knows how Niko is coping from either ending.

Deal seems more the Darko's behavior but Revenge is more close to Florian's behavior.
Yeah, is a nice intentional symbolism. Times when Rockstar got very grounded in humanity matters.

I don't know Darko's background too well, but what I could piece together is that the war killed his neighbors because they were the opposition. So, he betrayed his faction to get even. The guilt turned him into drugs as a coping mechanism.

Seriously, I consider this Niko's true ending while the actual ending is an epilogue of sorts. GTA IV was R*'s magnum opus in storytelling.

Still recall the first time I saw the GTA IV trailer with the Philip Glass music playing. Striking.

I either don't watch enough TV or they don't put game trailers on TV anymore because I never see anything like that. The last noteables was Fallout New Vegas or Dead Rising 2. Both in the break of The Inbetweeners.

Something I just noticed from rewatching that mission: notice where you drop off Roman after that encounter. At Brucie's. Not too far from the Platypus, the ship that Niko came into Liberty City in. Whether that was intentional or not...

On the one hand, I'd be annoyed too if I had to constantly cosplay as a character from a video game. Especially with how autistic the GTA V community can be.

However, that is part of method acting. He willingly knows what he's signing up for. If you don't want to do it, don't take the money.

Ogg is a serious acting fag IIRC.

Even back when the game first came out and he was riding high on being Trevor, he'd rant at and berate people if they dared to say "voice acting" in his presence instead of "performance acting/capture".

It doesn't surprise me he resents being known for Trevor from the biggest multimedia project in current history instead of...

- Characters in various shorts nobody has seen
- Creepy Locksmith in Broad City
- Random thug in Better Call Saul
- Random cowboy in Westworld
- Random thug in The Walking Dead
- Pike in Snowpiercer TV series

Who would have thought that the guy who has the most consistent work out of the main GTA characters is starting to turn into a bitter cunt like Young Maylay. I'd think he'd be the guy who wouldn't have to "degrade" himself into doing cameos that he is totally free to deny/not accept.
