This is gonna end up with regular gas over $5 per gallon
Already that here in AZ. $4.99 a gallon on Saturday virtually everywhere. Diesel for my truck was a dime cheaper and it's the first in a long while that diesel has been cheaper than gas ⛽️.

I lived the rationing and long lines in the 70's. It was a freaking nightmare. Also old enough to remember filling my old '62 Dodge with premium for .29 cents a gallon, regular was .19 cents a gallon when I first got my drivers license.

It sux, but the only upside I see is corps going back to more work from home days. Sorry Mr. Boss Man, my tank is empty and all the local gas stations are closed. Even the busses aren't running!

@Scale Smerch Man, if only we had had, like, a robust domestic oil production industry that had turned us into a net exporter for the first time in decades, which the climare and green energy cultists of the Brandon administration hadn't decided to kneecap.
They're not climate and green energy cultists, they're watermelons: Green on the outside, red on the inside.

The next thing for OPEC+ is to announce at least a 1 for 1 production and exportation cut for any strategic reserve release. Release 1 million barrels of oil a day? Okay, the cut in production and export just went from 2 million barrels per day to 3.5 million barrels of oil per day, good luck! No more Strategic Midterm Reserve for America if they do that!

See, that’s just it. That’s what they’ve signaled today that they’re going to do. That’s why Biden’s handlers floated OPEC+ a secret offer yesterday where the US buys 200M barrels at $80 per barrel in exchange for OPEC not cutting production today.

They’ll just continue the cuts at each of their meetings as long as the SPR releases continue, and then as long as they want to afterwards because fuck Biden and because it makes them money and because they can.

There’s nothing the US can do to stop it. They’ve already sanctioned the shit out of Russia, a member of OPEC+. What are they going to do, sanction SA? Send in the troops and touch off WW3? You and I and OPEC+ all know that the US Gov isn’t gonna do shit about this except seethe.

Biden’s handlers have really fucked us all here. I don’t even know how the propagandists can spin it. “Here’s why $6-a-gallon gasoline, hours-long lines, empty gas stations, price controls, stagflation, etc are all GOOD THINGS!”

Push it back until December and then blame it on "the market reacting to the Oil Company's pet Republicans getting power. Also Putin bad and Orange Man Did it."

I guess, but we’re still a month out from Election Day and those prices will be going back up starting today. Yeah, they’ll really skyrocket after the SPR releases stop, but this cut is gonna drive prices up all on its own.

Oh, who am I kidding? Of course the corrupt millionaire assholes on their side of the aisle will blame it on their fellow corrupt millionaire assholes on the other side of the aisle, and a majority of Americans will accept it as fact while they’re taking Jimmy Carter’s advice and wearing sweaters this winter.

Just want to say Herschel Walker is a flawed individual, but I do think he seems like a nice guy. Much like Larry Elder running for Governor in California, it really sucks that Raphael Warnock’s alleged misdeeds are largely being ignored and not taken to task.

My point being, Herschel may be a lot of things, but at least he’s no Stacey Abrams.

At least having a guy who was literally diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder amongst the congress critters will be hilarious.

It's just fascinating to look back on the post-Trump era, and trace all the steps Joe "Return to Normal" Biden did to checkmate America on the issue of oil, one dementia addled decision at a time.

Simply fascinating. Almost like a controlled demolition of the country...

Even before this, I've already overheard the "Gee wiz, it's too bad this economy isn't really Biden's fault!" cope from boomers who believe everything they hear on NPR and mainstream media.

They'll find a way.
