Already that here in AZ. $4.99 a gallon on Saturday virtually everywhere. Diesel for my truck was a dime cheaper and it's the first in a long while that diesel has been cheaper than gas ⛽️.

I lived the rationing and long lines in the 70's. It was a freaking nightmare. Also old enough to remember filling my old '62 Dodge with premium for .29 cents a gallon, regular was .19 cents a gallon when I first got my drivers license.

It sux, but the only upside I see is corps going back to more work from home days. Sorry Mr. Boss Man, my tank is empty and all the local gas stations are closed. Even the busses aren't running!
What are the odds of gas ration lines coming back? With fistfights because why not?
Just want to say Herschel Walker is a flawed individual, but I do think he seems like a nice guy. Much like Larry Elder running for Governor in California, it really sucks that Raphael Warnock’s alleged misdeeds are largely being ignored and not taken to task.

My point being, Herschel may be a lot of things, but at least he’s no Stacey Abrams.

When Herschel wins he should get a Senate seat for each of his personalities

Suddenly the Republicans have a 72-45 Senate majority
Don’t forget: he’s also a Georgia Bulldog who won a national championship AND the Heisman Trophy: that’s gotta carry a lot of weight with GA voters outside of Atlanta.

We'll have people hoarding gas in plastic bags again.

Fistfight? Are you as old as me? There will be bodycounts because shit gets settled with Mr. Glock these days. Gas line rage, especially when Jamal cuts to the head of the line because he privileged and sheeet. It will make road rage look like child's play.

There wont be gasoline shortages unless the administration does something retarded like imposing price controls

So, there will be gasoline shortages
White House is already talking “export ban” in retaliation for the OPEC+ cuts because again, they don’t know how to lose. That means we’ll be stuck with a lot of oil in the Gulf with no place for it to go and a lot of East Coast ports with no oil coming in and what’s the solution for that? More tankers? More railcars? More pipelines? The Feds can’t do any of that without going back on Green New Deal bullshit they’re committed to plus that sends gas prices through the roof even worse.

So yeah, we’ll see the return of price controls before long which leads to less production because there’s no profit to be made which leads to less product available for gas stations which leads to long lines/rationing/fistfights at the pump.

This is all the bad shit from the 70’s with none of the good stuff like Kojak, Billy Beer, Linda Lovelace, OG Mr Pibb, etc. Man, I hate my life

Not even good old 70s cocaine, today you gotta worry if it's been cut with fentanyl. Feelsbadman

Middle class white collar jobs, sure.
But Bob that works in a factory or Billy that works in retail/hospitality can probably not work from home.
The prices still being high and still going higher will disproportionally hurt the low-income workers.
To the point where it no longer makes any sense to commute 2 hours in to work anymore.

White collar workers live in a bubble.

Fistfights at the pump is ridiculously quaint. Look at what has happened to America since 1979. How is gasoline rationing supposed to work, the same way it did in 1979?
"Oh, I'd really like gasoline, but I mustn't purchase it. You see, my license plate ends in an odd number instead of an even one! Such is life, I must do this as a proud patriot!"

It's the first time where I've seen CNN and MSNBC report negatively on a Black man. Really makes you think...

unless you're an illegal immigrant, then you can get it for free whenever you want!

Oh, you got a vanity plate that does not end in a digit? Looks like you won't be getting gasoline ever.

Rationing only makes things worse because it creates and encourages a parallel grey market where there will be a price arbitrage.
People with means and who need the gas will buy the gas they need, if not from the pump then from the grey market.

So when this happens, pensioners or unemployed or students, that don't actually need to purchase gasoline every day they are entitled to but who have spare time, these people will start going to the gas station, wait in line, and then fill up jerry cans. Sometimes at multple different gas station each day they are winning the "last digit lottery". And then they will sell the gasoline on the grey market for a small profit.
This actually results in INCREASED demand at the pump, lol.

Rationing creates an entire new category of jobs. A type of job where "you stand in line for 2 hours, then resell the product at a small markup in cash".

You got morons claiming DeSantis voted against hurricane relief for NY after Sandy when he was in the House and this is payback. I hope this decision backfires on the Democrats.

Edit: a new meme is born thanks to Biden's latest soundbite.

Where were you when the United States elected our first Puerto Rican president?

pedo rican.jpg

The Tubes answered that almost 50 years ago:

Lol decades ago I was on tour with the Tubes as an opening act. Fee Waybill from the Tubes is one of the biggest douchebags and used to relentlessly talk shit to me every day. One day I had had enough and just said flat out, "You shouldn't fuck with me. I'm from NYC. I have a gun on the tour bus." Of course it was bullshit but the pussy called the label and cried, "What kind of people do you have on tour with me?!" and got me thrown off the tour.

100% totally worth it though. He's the biggest phony on the planet.

Not really. Just implement ration cards like they did with fuel during ww2
