Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

That's a GamerFromMars style of thumbnail right there.
Yeah...though I'd rather have that than graphic pictures of people mutilated beyond recognition from syphilis.

Me being a pussy aside, all of his thumbnails contain quotes like this. Doesn't entirely match the titles of the videos since they are about the perpetrators. It's a bit confusing if you don't watch the video.

I wonder if Nick Crowely is friends with Disturban or just actively ripping him off because their thumbnail styles are eerily similar. Same grainy picture, same red spoopy font with a black outline.

Practically identical even if they cover different topics.

Gotta give them credit though because GamerFromMars truly sucks with his obvious clickbait. Especially his "Chris Chan conspiracy"

Yes, I know, Internet Historian funny man.

This one though is pure nightmare.
I had put off watching this because of my own anxieties, and because my husband had once gone down an internet autism-hole researching this man. He told me it was a nightmare, and I listened... But holy fuck Internet Historian makes a gripping video.

And it actually wasn't as anxiety-inducing as I had thought! I think it's because he focussed on everything except the man in the cave, and how it felt in the cave. Everything was centered on the effort to dig him out, the logistics of getting into the cave, everything but how that poor guy must have felt. I felt awful for him trying to get that one person to stay a little longer. :(

Here's hoping for an In The Field: Religion with Wendigoon!

The peak of his clickbait trash is the picture of Chris Chan with "they called him GAY!!!" as if that's the most noteworthy thing that ever happened in Christory.
I’m probably the only one here that likes GFM’s content but I’m assuming he made that thumbnail to be ironic and not just clickbait.

Does anyone know if Down the Rabbithole is coming out with any new content? I swear it’s been a year since the last video.

New Disturban. Tragic story about a young woman losing her goddamn mind and murdering her brother.

Edit to say that I do like Disturban's videos though I wish he wouldn't use such graphic thumbnails on Disturban History but that's probably just me being an easily spooked deer.

I do also like that he titles his true crime videos after the victims rather than the perpetrators. Maybe I'm just a sentimentalist but it's a nice and respectful touch to the victims and their loved ones.
I like Disturban's content, but he's a terrible narrator. I normally like the Anglo narrators like Coffeehouse Crime or Lazy Masquerade. But Disturban sounds impaired or something. His gutteral vocal fry and awkward sentence flow are distracting.

GFM is pretty clickbaity, but compared to other youtubers that talk about drama and internet history, he isn't the worst, he's good for a relatively quick rundown of certain events.

This reminded me of the death of John Jones, for a short recap, he was a cave explorer who died while exploring the Nutty Putty Cave in Utah and I suggest watching Horror Stories' video on the case.
Just imagining getting into a crawlspace like that gives me anxiety. I think the special type of person who has the balls to do it regularly must also make peace with it possibly ending up like this. In their head they must have imagined this situation playing out in their minds at least once. Gives me panic just putting myself in that situation, same as the real people who were buried alive and could do nothing but sufocate there for days.
The only scenario more terryfing is a cave but underwater and even then people have the balls to do it and then die in there.

You wanna watch a movie custom tailored to induced anxiety in claustrophobes, check out Burried (2010):

Ngl this sign goes kind of hard. I’d hang it up in my room if I could.

Curious. What are people's thoughts on Explore With Us and Stranger Stories?

I personally tend to confuse them because it's eerie how similar they are, right down to the voice that narrates interrogation videos.

Stranger Stories almost sounds forced and puts a really annoying watermark in the middle of the video.

Explore With Us sounds very pretentious with the "we got a behavioral psychologist and experts looking at this footage" or whatever.

Honestly, they both kinda suck IMO and that's not only because of how they seem like outright clones of each other, right down to the channel logo.

I feel like all of those channels are trying to copy JCS.
It works well for them ,they have a ton of view but they don't have the charm of JCM.

I just checked out JCS' videos and it's unreal how better they are than EWU and Stranger Stories. No forced voice or pretentious "licensed professionals´" here

Too bad there have been no recent uploads.

Explore With Us is interesting - if you sort their videos by old to new you can see that they started out as "We explored an abandoned ghost town" stuff for years, then shifted to true crime like "5 solved disappearances with wild twists" before the current JCS ripoff which they've fully committed to now. I think it's probably why there's something lacking, it' s a trend they're riding.
