Yes, I honestly believe that America would not retaliate. At all. There will be some kvetching and a lot of thoughts and prayers, but America is not going to risk receiving a counter-strike over fucking Ukraine of all places. As for Europe getting fucked by radiation, that just benefits America further, as they want to make Europe inhospitable to steal their industry. Kind of goes hand in hand with them sabotaging European pipelines and flooding Europe with refugees, don't you think?

Soviet officers already made the decision to not fire nukes at least twice during the Cold War. We're only talking here because most people who work with nukes know how fucking stupid it is to launch them.
And the US already said they would respond to a nuclear weapon with a conventional strike. Anyone carrying out an order to fire a nuke knows that Russian assets, if not Russian soil, will suffer a reprisal attack which then could spiral into a nuclear attack on US/NATO.

You seem to not understand. If the US or Russia launch nukes at EACH OTHER, that will trigger MAD. If the US or Russia launch nukes at a small shithole that has no nukes of its own, it will NOT trigger MAD, and nobody is going to do shit over it, no matter how hard you wish that America would risk its existence over fucking Ukraine. Don't forget that America's goal in this conflict is to destroy European economy and prevent any chances of a Russian-German alliance. Once the US meets those goals, they'll withdraw. Edit: Oh yeah, and another goal is population control. That will be accomplished through Russian nukes as well.

As for his generals thinking that Putin is destroying Russia, that is absolutely retarded. They are fighting against an enemy that has repeatedly stated that they want to break up Russia and do the same to it as they did to Ukraine.
