And now we wait to see if this investigation gets stonewalled by foreigners.

I find the phony pearl clutching hilarious. The Ukes did the exact same thing for months. There were countless videos of SBU walking around handing out draft and recruitment letters, even going so far as to stop cars and hand them to the passengers. Women in a village even tried to prevent the police and recruitment officers from going into their village so their sons won't get drafted

You're dumb. I am genuinely asking why one would be permissible and not the other.

Im not the one pearl clutching about drafts. Everyone knows that Russia never had a big standing army and they always drafted when they needed to. A military budget in the low 60 billion doesn't allow you to have hundreds of thousands of soldiers just sitting around on standby waiting for a war. During WW2 their peak military was 11 million soldiers, at the end of the war they were at 8 million. Im curious how much the Russians could draft nowadays without other soviet republics if shit really hit the fan.

W-wait, we didn't actually do it, they did it to themselves.

Wut? After all the images came out we could see the damage isn't consistent with a truck bomb, and the truck was inspected by Russians before crossing.

There's no scorch marks of a truck frame embedded into the asphalt as a result of an explosion in the cargo container.

Even if it were a truck bomb, there's nothing to stonewall. They inspected it and allowed it to pass.

Patriots in control. President Navalny will have an announcement at 20:00 Moscow Time to declare that the RF is disbanding and homosexuality is now mandatory on pain of tactical nuclear strike.
I'm sure NATO will be happy.

Alright, if it wasn't a truck bomb, then what was it?

ATACMS missiles. They have the accuracy to target the connections to the piers and the payload to drop bridges - unlike the GMRLS missiles the HIMARS truck usually fired at Antonovsky bridge.
That or the SBU glowies actually managed to load demolition charges into the bridge, which is a pretty wild mission and the size of the fireball seems to deboonk.
That or the Ukrainians are actually manufacturing small quantities of the Grim-2 missile in facilities outside Ukraine. Only mockups and prototypes existed when Zelensky shut the program down in 2019.

Huh, in my post above I made a estimate that it would take a week for them to check the bridge to see if it needed repairs. Guess it wasn’t that badly damaged on that side then.

Russia is finally doing what they should have done when this war was planned - have one commander for the overall operation. Not that it will make much difference. Like gilding a turd.

And something from the NYT on a related subject.

To be fair, it could be crumbling and the Russians would still say "bridge ok!" and re-open it to save face.
It was a big fuck off explosion. But if they think it can handle truck traffic then it should be fine and unless we get a video a week from now of a truck busting through that side of the bridge it should(tm) be OK.
