They were told that if they were uncomfortable with themselves, during puberty -- a time when it seems like a lot of people have a really hard time -- and if they don't like how people are starting to treat them now that they're starting to sexually develop into women, and if they feel more comfortable with the idea of dressing androgynously, or pretending to be male... then they are often told that it's because "their brains are built a certain way, and if they don't get the HRT to treat this, they will commit suicide as adults."
They're told this by older trannies... (who are often suicidal due to their own fucking trauma, and the damage they do to themselves)

Then they're told by their new trans friends... that, if they're in this class of people... then most people probably hate them.

So they might cut off contacts that would have otherwise pulled them out of this trance.

In some cases, they're told by trans groups, that any amount of criticism, or misunderstanding... means that this person doesn't care about you, will never care about you... and can never be persuaded to actually care about you the way that they say another trans person would.

It really is up to the individual to make the right choice for themself, and to be in their own corners...


But yeah, the cult teaches people to become bitter, angry shells of themselves; to never fucking listen to anyone; and that if they question you, it means they don't care about what you want in life; or that they want to force you back into the gender roles of your sex.... and that they want you to be traumatized.

This rhetoric takes its ideas from the experiences of a few individuals, and then those examples get passed around as 'something that will probably happen to EVERYONE, including YOU!'

Personally, I always feel a baseline level of empathy for anyone that regrets transitioning regardless of age. I have to admit that on occasions like these, while I’m sympathetic, I’m also baffled when people talk about the masculinizing/feminizing effects of HRT as if those aren’t the expected/desired outcomes. Not being knowledgeable about the rare, less discussed side effects is understandable. I’m referring to things such as lower voice, more hair, etc. Those are the end goal.

Though, I do feel the most empathy for the children that are transed by their parents and are far too young to truly grasp/understand any consequences/outcomes of HRT (i.e. Jazz Jennings).

I would say "fuck around and find out" but these kids are not being given all the facts. Being surprised by nasty side effects is not uniquely trans, doctors don't have the time to go over all the side effects with you during your appointment and pharmacists just wave you on unless you specifically ask questions. I can only think of a handful of times when someone told me what to expect from a drug I was prescribed.

It feels even worse when it comes to things like this though. Maybe because it's kids.

2 or 3 years ago I might have felt sorry for this person, but now not so. These people, including the teenagers themselves, have made it their goal to rip down every barrier that might prevent them from ruining their lives. Often times threatening suicide, and wilfully manipulating their hesitant or concerned parents into doing their bidding with other emotional manipulation.


I might add it seems like you guys are slipping into the old habit of coddling ftm's when their just as culpable for their own predicament as their mtf counterparts. Of course no one tried to stop them! We're told that anything but blind acceptance and full swing ahead is evil conversion therapy and only bigots support conversion therapy, so that became the medical model: no questions, everyone is automatically the authority figure on themselves, so here's your hrt, surgery is next week.

No other mental illness or trauma is treated like that. If you're depressed or self-harming we are told that we can't trust ourselves, we need to listen to and trust people who have trained for years to know what is really going on. We learn new coping skills, untangle traumas, and assuming all goes well we become better people without those maladjusted habits and thoughts.

I think over the next decade we're going to gradually see a shift in the way the establishment deals with trannies. I would like to think we will see more therapy being required before giving them the affirmation, but I know better. What I think will happen is more watchful waiting as a recommended best practice, with therapy recommended, but no more* fifteen minute visit ending in hrt and surgical consult.

If he is on HRT then there is high probability of developing some form of paranoia/schizophrenia.

HRT and derivates affect directly towards hormone production and therefore the nerve system.

Women who are under estrogen therapy usually develop a lack of serotonin due to the hormone imbalance, which in turn makes them paranoid, schizophrenic and leads to mental illness. I believe that would be the same for men due to the higher level of estrogen entering their system.

So, yeah, troons are more than likely to develop schizophrenic tendencies.
