Trainwreck Alicia Dougherty / Dougherty Dozen - Alcoholic foster mother of 10, who makes millions and wastes all of it, punishes children for not being in content, returns kids she can't put online, uses a therapy method that has killed at least 6

She doesn't seem that out of the ordinary tbh.
I agree, it's subjective and could go either way. They were in Ocean City at the time and a kid acting tipsy could absolutely be a kid hopped up on vacation excitement.

It is worth it to say that this kid does not normally act this way. In that sense it is quite out of the ordinary and Reddit picked it apart when it was posted.

I am very surprised that it has remained up on the channel to this point just on speculation alone (Alicia reads her subreddit and reacts to it like a cow. Reddit's speculating she has White Claw in her morning coffee thermos? She switches to a clear thermos. Reddit speculates she changes her clock to make it look like she does her morning routine at 5 am? Clock comes down. And so on.)

Does this kid sound a little bit... off to anyone?

Looks like she and Josh went through a case last night. She started drinking in the early afternoon.

Alicia doesn't realize it, but she got a special gift that money can't buy yesterday. The Horrorcow tag.
Not gonna lie that does seem pretty weird, especially with presumably the dad laughing as she struggles to speak.

I've only seen the kid a few times so I can't comment much. I am a little surprised that half the shit on her channel isn't taken down, or at least removed from the video (For example, her common mention of White Claw in her videos).

no wonder the older kids just get Panera

Josh and Alicia don't even eat what she makes. They get their meals through one of those delivery services called Factor. Let's check out how much that costs

I would never trust the cooking of someone who doesn't eat what they make.

Isn't that around 200 dollars a week? I could not imagine spending that much money on food. This is disregarding all of the other money spent on food in the large ass pantry that they have.

Maybe I'm just judging because I don't keep a hockey roster worth of children in my house, but what a fucked up situation. All that chaos seems awful, and the plumbing situation with the lack of space is mildly horrifying. That said, with the ages of the kids, why aren't they helping out with chores and things? How does she expect them to learn any useful life skills if they aren't being given responsibilities appropriate to their ages? Kids need some structure and stability to help them develop into reasonably functional people.

I can't even get into the lack of privacy or safety these kids are dealing with, let alone how exploitative it is to use them for financial gain and not even put any aside for their futures. It's all just incredibly selfish.

Pretty much. The costs to orchestrate her show are very high it seems.

Yes, she doubts her kids abilities. She said in a video that she thinks most of them won't go to college, let alone live independently. That's pretty fucked up. I hope the kids know the sky is the limit when it comes to their future.

To piggyback I could list two reasons

First: Kids need to be taught how to do something. Alicia has too many kids to teach individually on every chore, lacks the patience to work with them through mistakes, and can't give up control of her house by watching the kids do things differently than she does.

Second: Because that's her content. Her morning routine videos go to shit if the kids make their own lunch. Half her day in the life vlogs go away if they pick up after themselves. Not to mention her image as Mom Who Does Everything.

The kids do help out from time to time though. The teens do a lot of lifting around the house and Alicia was (very questionably) paying the teens to lifeguard their in ground pool over the summer.

The youngest child "helps cook" but mostly just licks everything.

Can you provide proof of Lish paying the older kids to lifeguard her pool? Not doubting, just for sperg archival purposes.

That's just sad. Part of the reason you take time to teach kids these things (besides enabling them to help you) is because they're skills that they need to function as an adult. It also helps them feel some accomplishment, and involvement in their home, if you let them know that you appreciate their help and work.

It seems like she really doesn't care about their future well-being at all, or their current mental health.

She never did, and never will. She adopted/birthed so many kids for public image. Outside of news articles and TV interviews I honestly think she doesn't give a fuck about those kids and realizes that she bit off more than she could chew. Sure, the money is coming in to do more than feed the kids(at least for now), but she just coexists with the mess her kids make. Once the clips of supermom are recorded and uploaded, she pops a couple Adderall, takes a six pack of white claw out of the fridge and sinks into the couch.

I'll dig for it but I believe what I'm specifically thinking of was during an instagram live and thus lost by now. But the teens were messing around and Alicia asked, "what am I paying you guys for?"

(if anyone has tips for combing youtube channels for keywords please let me know)

How can she? There isn't enough time. There's too many of them.

I grew up in a family half the size of Alicia's and hold no romance for the concept of a big family. It's awful to be a kid who needs their parents and get told, "Sorry, but I don't have time for that." And there's never time for it, because the only thing that can be accomplished every day are the requirements for survival.

Every time she adds more kids the ones she already has get less. She knows that but is comforted by the belief that she's found a way to make up for it.

Go to 31:00 to watch Alicia's TOASTED ASS wrangle 12 kids into the 15 passenger van so her teenage son can drive them all home at night because Josh is also TOASTED AS FUCK

LAST TIME HE DROVE THAT THING HE HIT! A! MAILBOX!

$11 a meal for shit you have to warm up in the microwave? This is just a Lean Cuisine that they are paying more money for to get it delivered to their door.

Im not sure, but maybe this is one of her sponsors and part of the deal is to get free meals so they are eating them in the videos. I would think people who are retarded enough to watch Alicia's videos unironically are retarded enough to buy this shit.

Regardless of if Alicia is actually buying these or they are advertisements for her followers, the the old adage applies:
"A fool and his money are easily parted"

Good point, she's shit at disclosure so it's not always clear what's sponsored or not.

Assuming they are paying for it at the highest tier, here's a quick and dirty run down of their food expenditures:

Grocery store: $6-7k per month
Meal delivery: $800 per month x 2 = $1600 a month plus shipping
Wholesale store: $800+ per month
Eating out: they eat fast food about twice a week or so at home at least $50 a trip. When they are traveling they eat out every meal at who knows what price. I'll budget them a flat $800 a month on average because I don't see how it could be any lower.
Chickens: the chickens feed is $200 per month plus bedding and other supplies. I'll estimate the chickens cost $300 total per month. How many eggs must a family go through to make this cost effective?

Total: $9.5-$10.5k per month on food.

At least.

It's always a little disturbing seeing these kids in Alicia's TikToks so often. I could not imagine growing up in a world where privacy doesn't exist. The idea that these kids will grow up into fractured adults scares me.

Yeah that's fucking insane. If she didn't have a show to orchestrate and knew how to properly meal plan or keep a rotation of dishes she'd definitely be able to cut down on costs way more. There is a lot of delicious shit that can be made for cheap, rice is cheap, comes in absurdly large quantity and can be made into so many dishes. There's so many different types too, Jasmine rice, long grain rice, typical white rice etc. And, you can jazz up the rice with sauces and different seasonings. Excuse my sperg-out on rice, but just showing the point of Lish's horrid kitchen choices.

Spot on. I also have the feeling that these kids don't have any true connection with Alishuh because of her duties as an "influencer".

"Sorry, I can't properly brush your hair, Zoey, I have to fake pout and cry about my adopted children's traumas for views."

Yeah, some of the kids probably don't have a bond with their "mother". It's depressing to watch in all honesty, if only these kids were adopted by different parents...

She seems to have the money to afford it. Her channel makes $14.6K - $233.1K a month (This is just Alicia's YouTube channel by itself).

I feel you. Rice is a way better carbohidrate than trash-bag fried potatoes and doritos.

Also home-cooked vegetables (if washed properly) can save you a fortune in medical and grocery bills.

People don't seem to understand how nutrient-deficient diets with few (or no) vegetables are. And for developing children they are twice as damaging.

The absolute clown foolery when Teen J said he wanted to spend more time with her so Alicia took him on that Ocean City shopping trip of lunacy.

I'm pretty sure he meant quality time.

But now she and Josh take a kid out for one on one time every week, so they should get to bond with their parents approximately 4 times a year as long as Mom can make content out of it.

She does though. Her vlogs started off with things like #thriftymom, and she did manage to keep them all fed when finances were close to if not dire. But now she doesn't have to do that so she's going all out in the other direction by choice.

Classic poor person wins the "lottery"

She'll be broke again as soon as her income stream goes down.

Now that I think about it I can see it from that point. I remember seeing in a Instagram screenshot on Reddit that was posted, it had a child happy with a cereal box saying something along the lines of "he's so glad to have name-brand cereal for this occasion!". This post was around 2017, so I don't have the energy to scroll all the way down but the people on le' Reddit do.
