I think that part of the reason circumcision remains so prevalent in the US is that so long as the country has a (relatively) Christian culture, intactivists aren't doing themselves any favors by referring to the book of Genesis this way.

All I pointed out is that a large portion of the American population believes the Bible (Bronze/Iron Age, not Stone, btw) to be divinely inspired and isn't going to be swayed by this attitude. So you can either give up trying to convince to them, or invest a little effort in coming up with arguments that aren't reddit-tier.
