On August 5th - The IDF announced their latest bombing of campaign of the West Bank called ‘‘Operation Breaking Dawn’’ and before I start this article I want to recognize the casualties from this ‘‘Operation’’ so far. Many children have died, and as i’m writing this - the victim count is at 44 with 100s injured.
With ‘‘Operation Breaking Dawn’’ starting - I wanted to take a look at all of the ‘‘Operations’’ Israel has carried out in the West Bank (not counting Al Aqsa as that is in Jerusalem, and that will be part of another article)
So first we take a look at ‘‘Operation Summer Rains’’ which lasted from June 28th to November 26th, and saw 117 civilians murdered on the Palestinian side, and 6 civilians killed on the Israeli side. This ‘‘Operation’’ was started because of a dispute over prisoners - and a year prior, Israel started to try to pull the troops from Gaza, but after extensive talks within the Government, that failed, which then led to the Operation known as ‘‘Operation Summer Rains’’. Palestinian NGOs had warned of contaminated water after it had happened. Untreated sewege flowing in the streets. Think about that for a second, to some people a ‘‘2,000 year promise’’ is more important than clean drinking water, or a safe place to live. I am Pro Palestinian because I simply see them as human beings, nothing less. Early on in the ‘‘Operation’’ all crossings to Gaza were shut, effectively making it an open air prison. The Israeli army also used human shields in this Operation.
Also in 2006, the IDF shelled a row of houses in Beit Hanoun on November 8th, which ended up killing around 19 Palestinians, and injuring over 40 Palestinians.
Out of ‘‘Operation Summer Rains’’ came ‘‘Operation Autumn Clouds’’, in this there was 82 Palestinians killed, half of which were civilians. In the aftermath of this Operation, Israel refused to co-operate with the UN Human rights Council, and eventually refused entry to Desmond Tutu, later that month - the US vetoed a resolution by the UN to call for a fact finding of the events that happened through this ‘‘Operation’’
Moving on to 2008, which saw the IDF carry out ‘‘Operation Hot Winter’’. In this ‘‘Operation’’ 112 Palestinians lost their lives, 52 of which were civilians and it saw 350 wounded. On the Israeli side, 3 were killed - 1 was a civilian, and 8 were wounded. The Israeli Givati Brigade and the Armor Corps were involved in a ground operation while the Israeli airforce gave supports from the sky. A large number of children were killed in a brutal assault from the IDF. Let’s call it what it is, a brutal apartheid state, carrying out an illegal blockade. Stopping people from getting in and out.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that ‘‘Israel had no intention of stopping’’ and had denied that ‘‘Israel had committed war crimes’’ despite many children being murdered by his brutal army. The then defence Minister Matan Vilnai said ‘‘As the rocket fire grows, and the range increases... they [Palestinians] are bringing upon themselves a greater ‘Shoah’ because we will use all our strength in every way we deem appropriate..’’ the ‘‘Shoah’’ refers to the Holocaust. To me, Vilnai was clearly calling for a Genocide of the Palestinians (which is kind of what they’ve been doing anyway, this just confirmed it for me)
Probably one of the most devastating, brutal assaults Israel carried out was the Gaza Massacre. In this, near 900 civilians in Gaza were killed, and thousands wounded. Oddly the some of the Israeli deaths came from friendly fire. In this brutal assault of the Palestinian people, Israel used methods such as collective punishment, used children as human shields, used white phosphorus, and DIME’s.
Many were charged for their crimes in the massacre, but not nearly enough were sent to prison. This included a Givati brigade soldier who stole a credit card and withdrew over 1,500 Israeli Shekels, a sniper who was discharged after he sniped at Palestinian woman and children waving a white flag, two more Givati brigade soldiers using an 11 year old boy as a human shield, and forcing a 9 year old to inspect bags that had suspected explosives in them. Both officers were only demoted one rank and given suspended sentences - proving that in Israel, you can commit the most disgusting acts and get away with nothing, simply because they want to slaughter innocent Palestinian children. In this massacre Gaza lost around 2 billion in assets, 4,000 homes were destroyed, around 700 factories, small businesses and industries got destroyed, 24 mosques, and 10 water or sewege lines. 8 Hospitals were also damaged. Health problems in Gaza skyrocketed, Norwegian doctors said they found traces of depleted uranium, a radioactive genotoxic material used in some types of munition. Gaza also suffered a humanitarian crisis, many crops were destroyed, agriculture was destroyed, Israel had denied access to media to the warzone, and had once again committed many, many war crimes. This reinforces my opinion from earlier - a ‘‘2,000 year promise, is more important to them than clean drinking water, food to eat, and a safe life for Palestinian children.
In 2012, ‘‘Operation Returning Echo’’ 5 civilians were killed on the Palestinian side - and 74 were wounded. It also launched ‘‘Operation Pillar of Defence’’ where it, once again, targetted civilians, this time it bombed 4 media facilities. 105 Palestinian civlians were killed and 971 were wounded.
In 2014, Israel launched yet another brutal, wicked murderous campaign against Palestine, this time calling it ‘‘Operation Protective Edge’’, 2,251 Palestinians were murdered in cold blood, and 10,600 were injured, as always, Israel violated international law, firing at Hospitals, indiscriminate firing at civlians, shelling UN schools, killing journalists, once again using human shields.It was in 2014 the video of the children running from a Palestinian beach went viral. The IDF terrorized kids simply trying to play with their friends, those kids will never be able to shake the trauma of watching their friends get murdered right in front of them. Many in Palestine have untreated PTSD and it’s impossible to get help because Israel have made Gaza an open air prison and have no regard for the human rights of Palestinians, because they don’t see them as humans, they see Palestinian childrens as ‘‘sub human’’ and monsters. Imagine thinking a child is a monster?
Now we move on to the ‘‘Operation Guardian of The Walls’’ or the 2021 Israel-Palestine crisis, which happened in May 2021. 256 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip, 2,000 were injured, and in Occupied East Jerusalem 1,000 Palestinian’s were injured, in the West Bank 28 were killed and more than 500 injured. Remember, that this was all because Netanyahu was desperate to hold on to power, he was on the verge of being ousted, so he launched one last big of terror to keep his place. The blood of those Palestinian’s are all on him
Palestinians and Israelis clashed early in May because Israelis stormed Sheikh Jarrah and tried to harass the people living there, the next day - Israeli police took their destructive chaos to Al Aqsa, Israeli policed fired stun grenades, tear gas and rubber bullets. Once again, Israel fired at media facilities, health facilities, schools and over 1,000 houses were completely destroyed.
This brings us to the Operation that finished last night. ‘‘Operation Breaking Dawn’’, which killed 44 Palestinians, many of which were children… this includes a five year old girl who was murdered at the very start of the brutal campaign. This includes a strike on Jabalia refugee camp which left kids dead.

There is an Israeli election coming up, it’s time for Israel to reject facists and Hardals such as Itamar Ben Gvir and Smotrich. It’s time for the occupation to end. The Occupation has been in place for many decades now, and it’s time for it to end.
