Keep pretending Ukraine didn't start this shit by targeting its own Russian speaking citizens, who were fine with being Ukrainians until they were targeted with artillery and bombs.

You can desperately try to obfuscate this very basic fact all you want and cheer the Ukroschweinen on but anyone who understands what's been going on knows why Ukraine is getting its shit pushed in.,

Russia doesn't want to rule over a glassed Ukraine, but the US is making sure that's what will eventually happen. And of course then you can congratulate yourself for bring that about.

I didn't and still don't care to dismiss a single point you were trying to make by posting that video because it has nothing to fucking do with the question I asked.

You could have posted a video of Zelensky waterboarding a Russian toddler in the center of Kiev while guys with swastikas tattooed on their foreheads held him down and I could've asked the same thing, and likely gotten no more of an answer than you've given.

Probably will get a clock for asking but suddenly been seeing tons of tweets claiming Elon Musk is now a Russian asset over Starlink. Is there actual context behind this or is this just anti-Russian witchhunts growing more schitzophrenic?

It started with Starlink having an outage for a few hours (retards actually thought he is shutting it down), Elon tweeting a 2012 election map showing that pro-russian parties had popularity around that time in Eastern Ukraine and him tweeting about how to deescalate the war. So yeah its pretty schizophrenic. Elon cares more about his factories in Germany and the energy crisis, that's what he's concerned about.

In the real world, armed separatists typically aren’t fine staying part of the country they want to leave

Interesting choice of imagery there. Thanks for confirming your allegiance with Ukronazi garbage.

Of course, the Ukroschweine aren't real Nazis, as the OG SS referred to them as Neggervolk and wanted to execute them for, well being Neggers and victimizing the population the Reich was trying to win the sympathy of in order to, you know, win the war against the USSR, but that didn't matter as long as Mykola got to rape, rob and kill the poor Ukrainian girl working at the SS barracks canteen.

now looks to be a complete lose-lose for all sides
It was a "loose-loose" the second the conflict started because war is an economically draining exercise.
Biggest winners are the US, China and India. Count the EU if they don't freeze to death.

That is, in the conventional wisdom (of today). Maybe Putin will find his lady of the lake when he takes Kiev and claim the divine right as ruler of all Slavs or some shit. I don't know.
War is an extension of politics, and the best way to win is defeat the enemy without using troops. Russia, by having to force itself to fight has already lost something. It can still "win".
This is what happens when you train people for a week then send them off to get fucked
This is probably basically anyone not properly "trained" in using specialized equipment in a nutshell.
It's like rolling a critical failure on d20 when if you don't have the special skill anything below 15 is a critical fail.

your allegiance

Not quite, maybe in a few years when Ukrainian veterans are leading NATO training exercises I'll consider them something more akin to myself. Until then they're definitely not my people, I'm just an observer and in an indirect way financier of a war between two of the shittiest post soviet shitholes, one of which has the chance to finally make a hard break like the Baltics and Poland did, the other a historical enemy that's continually drifting back to its old ways and desperately clinging to its shitty legacy.

There's obviously a soft spot in my heart for them and I'd probably even get along better with most of them than I could with my own woke countrymen, but looking at this in a purely cynical way if the entirety of Ukraine is set ablaze before the war is over my country and other people I do care about still would have benefited by Russia's death or crippling in the process.

That's really all there is to it, this war costs me practically nothing in the short term and likely has long term benefits that far outweigh any costs. Posting heartbreaking videos of suffering Russians who didn't do nuffin wont effect the outcome of this war anymore than strikes on Ukrainian held cities will, they wont stop Russian forces from dying while surrendering land, and they certainly wont make anyone who's mind wasn't already made up beforehand to start sympathizing with Russia as opposed to Ukraine.

And keep in mind I'm someone who thinks most of our elected officials would better serve the public buried in a ditch, and that a good portion of the public belongs right beside them. If I were in charge I'd still be doing pretty much exactly what the administration is doing right now in regards to Ukraine, probably more.

Been awhile since I've been in these threads and I'm curious. Have you switched preferences for who wins out?

I started out in favor of Russia, because at the time it looked like they would certainly win and a quick capitulation capitulation is preferable to a long drawn-out slog. I hate the GAE and still see the war as an inevitability brought on by retarded western governments.

Now I'm generally ambivalent to who wins as it hasn't been a swift Russian victory and now looks to be a complete lose-lose for all sides no matter who wins. The desperation of the Russian side on the Internet to salvage their chosen champion's reputation is starting to get pathetic. The "Russians with Attitude" twitter account is a good example of this. He went from gloating and putting out some informative data, to coping and seething constantly.
I thought russia was gonna capture kiev within a week and from there it would be a ground insurgency like Chechnya, after they retreated and said it was a feint I thought it would a partial ukrainian victory with them maintaining their country aside from the east which russia would control, now I feel like the ukrainians are gonna win all the territory back from 2014, especially with their recent success in kharkov

Lol, it's not only Russia's death, it's accelerating the death of European relevance in the world stage and it's something that America also had in mind when planning all of this shit since 2014.

There's also no posibility of de-escalation because millions of men will be mobilized on both sides to keep fighting this war forever because there's no will to back down.

You don't understand, when "she" talks about your "allegiance" being "confirmed," "she" is larping really really hard that it means something real like there are going to be direct and personal consequences for your poor choice of 'loyalties'

These vatniggers have the biggest HOI4 sperg hanging his head in shame at his comparative lack of dedication to the larp

Every administration since Bush was very publicly warning these dipshits about this happening and the potential blow to them both materially and in terms of their credibility. They chose to forgo developing their own petroleum sectors and military spending, now they're paying us a premium for our LNG making them dependent on us for the foreseeable future and also paying out of their assess buying both US and domestic weapons in short order.

Hopefully this will show them the error of their ways, they'll probably start working towards taking a more active role on the world stage again.

Spoiler : They won't.

UN vote on condemning Russia's annexation of Ukraine.

What does Nicaragua gain from supporting Russia?

German news channel ZDF already posted the updated map of Ukraine which does not include the territories who voted to annex with Russia.

That's a lot of words just to say you're salty.

Mortar team somewhere in Donetsk, not specified

Small attempts to probe our defenses are going on continuously. Small groups come out and try to attack. The entire front line is under surveillance. As soon as unplanned goals appear, they are hit.

Mortars are used on small group targets - this is enough to disperse the enemy and force them to retreat. If armored vehicles are coming, MLRS and barrel artillery are connected.
