President Biden erroneously said that his son, Beau, "lost his life in Iraq" during a speech in Colorado on Wednesday.

"I say this as a father of a man who won the Bronze Star, the Conspicuous Service Medal, and lost his life in Iraq," Biden said.

Beau died of brain cancer in 2015.

Do you remember how, on the whole, leftists used to be a lot more prone to questioning shit and reasoning shit out? It's a major reason they were so successful while the old Moral Majority slid into decay. Now, with this in mind, think back to what I mentioned about the major shift in who was running things on the left starting after Obama got elected. That trait, that willingness to question shit and that willingness to discuss and find common cause - was something that the DNC saw as undesirable, since it kept leading the plebs to have minor rebellions (like primarying establishment darlings) that the gentry would then have to put down hard.

The current "thought leaders" of the movement aren't saddled with a need for consistency or logic. Hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug, and when one of them says something fucking outlandish, they go to bat for it anyway because critical thought was intentionally crushed within the movement, and anyone who has the presence of mind to question narratives was likewise driven out. They don't believe in objective truth; they believe that anything is fair game as long as it gets them power in the immediate.

Social Media enforces this kind of unthinking obedience. They are, in every way, analogous to what they used to think all Conservatives were like (as in, the dumbass Gravity-is-a-lie Moral Majority speds), only completely unironic in this. If the people on the idiot box say bad thing is bad, then they blindly repeat it, truism be damned. It wasn't always like this, obviously; if it was, stories like mine on the subject wouldn't be fucking everywhere. It's the result of careful control, getting rid of the elements who would dare question the narratives, and enforcing blind obedience in the ones that remain. Thank GodJesus BearChrist that the ones left are fucking incompetent.

Case in point, the Summer of Love and Floyd riots. Even with raw footage and testimonials of the civil unrest in several Democratic strongholds, almost all of it was swept under the rug during election season. Of course, you can see the aftereffects in those communities, but if you wouldn't go there or see it on television, it may as well had not happened.

It's amazing how months of rioting, burning and looting can miraculously just disappear because they said so. Even more shocking is how they shifted the blame of "defund the police" to the Republicans and they willingly allowed it to happen.

Social Security is fucked already and the Democrats themselves had no decent plans to save it either.

Though raising it to 70 makes some sense but the program in general is fucked for the long term and Biden has made the future of the program much worse thanks to rising unemployment, therefore the program is already running off fumes and money that doesn't really exist.

Looking at voting trends for the past few years.

Old people in general are fools that make the best argument for poll taxes and IQ tests at the ballot box, since they have the highest rates of civic participation when it comes to voting but also vote for politicians that push for open borders immigration at this point, gibs to shitholes miles away and allowed both parties to peg them without lube for the past few decades.

As far as social security goes, its been turned into a pyramid scheme where they want more "immigrants" to come in and pay into it before they die, since long term plans like encouraging more jobs for young people and paying people to have more kids is just something a communist would do, nevermind how much hypocrisy on BIG GUBMINT has been shown by the GOP in general before Trump came along.

You talk about social security after you stabilize the country. If we ever get to another time of prosperity like '18 & 19, that's when you raise it because it does make sense and you try and wean off younger people to invest in their own future and don't pay into the system.
