He said something perfect this morning, he asked the judge what she meant about the sovereign citizen shit. That’s perfect! He did perfect! Claim that the court made the false assumption that brooks is a sovereign citizen! He has no idea what a sovereign citizen is! As far as he is aware, he’s a member of the community! It usually is unless there are state-level rules against it in this case. Federal hate crime charges is what a white defendant would be terrified of, even if they got off on all state level charges they would get vanned right as they leave the local or state-level courthouse for the last time. Highlights of today:

1. Judge finally told Brooks off about his attempts to say the court didn't have jurisdiction over him and basically told him to STFU about it.

2. Brooks attempted to object to his own question because for the first time in the case he was able to accurately identify what hearsay was, Judge overruled that.

Kinda meh part of the day was the speed analysis from video. I think the officer did alright, I know there are a lot of people online complaining about it but I honestly think they're only going off a Law and Order script level of expectations. Brooks tried to attack him on two fronts:

1. The speed investigation took place in like August 2022, and not immediately after the crime. This is nonsensical because a digital video doesn't change, it doesn't matter when the analysis is done.

2. This is was the first time the expert had done a speed analysis using the software. The police department isn't huge, they've only got one digital forensic guy. He has prior experience and took the classes needed to be certified on the specific software used before doing on the analysis.

Anyway it's not like it really matters, analysis said the car was going 33 mph, doesn't really matter if it was going a little slower or faster, it was still plowing through the parade.


Wednesday

Off to a bang, he's trying to subpoena the state of Wisconsin to testify.

Asked a witness, who's daughter's foot got run over, if they thought the car veered back into the street because it didn't want to hit people on the side of the road.

I'm very slowly getting caught up with this case, having nearly finished yesterday's testimony. It's better entertainment than anything Amazuluflix has put out. What was really striking was

Anyway, what was really striking was a moment in which the jury was coming back, and the judge was shutting down one dilatory statement after another from Brooks, then she just kind of gave up her official bearing, looked down, and smiled at the absurdity of everything happening. I thought she was really cute in that moment. It's around 7:50:00.

Will start today's testimony tomorrow. Will Brooks finally figure out who is the plaintiff in STATE OF WISCONSIN V. DARRELL BROOKS?
