I think a big part of it is having power over victims that are weak and can't speak out animals just can't raise a hoof an ask to talk to a teacher and kids are often too frightened to do so especially when they are really young and can't really understand what's going on to begin with.

I also think as you say Degeneracy begets more Degeneracy - It starts off as oh cool porn, OK that's not doing it now Oh hey what's this, OK that's not doing it now etc etc etc and it's not even the sexual act that's getting them off any more is like a junkie chasing a new high to bring back the feelings they have burned out the ability to feel long ago by cronic use of porn and constantly stepping up it's extremes and all that's left is the excise of power over the powerless and the social taboo's they are breaking is the only thrill they have left.

Null made an interesting observation in the monkey thread about pedophiles and zoophiles, and how it's based on sadism. There are "gentle" pedophiles and zoophiles who think they're just being loving partners, and there are even ones who want the child or animal to have some kind of agency or control, but at the root of it I think it's just about hurting their partner. Degrading their victim's dignity, ruining a childhood, abusing an animal, it's all about destroying things, physically or otherwise.

Business Idea for governments: People like this, in a room, bound to a chair. People pay to spend 1 hour with them and have a certain set of rules of what they're allowed to do. I have some ideas.
They're not allowed to kill them and pay a hefty fine if they do. No sexual stuff, very important.

Then reduce my taxes and send me a thank-you card.
