In fact, I'll just state right here, if Russia loses badly, and if there's a push to "go to Moscow", replace Putin, implement liberalism and any such crap from the West, I'll switch sides and support Russia's territorial integrity and its right to see to its internal affairs as it sees fit. Only Russian citizens have the right to change their ruling elites.
It's also about priorities.
War is destabilizing and leads to economic fallout, not to mention many lives lost, most of them Europeans. That is catastrophic. It has to stop.
Go test weapons in Africa or w/e. Go chimpout in Yemen or Sudan. I don't care.
But chimping out inside Europe? Literally WTF. Stop it.

The US via NATO is never going to stop trying to impose its will on Europe as long as it's politically expedient to do so. I'm not saying territorial disputes and hostilities would disappear if NATO was out of the picture, I'm saying it would be more far less likely to erupt into divisive and destructive conflict. De Gaulle had solid reasons for his hard resistance to NATO.

The standard people have for heroes is just ridiculously low these days. It gets way worse than Elon, think Youtubers/Twitch streamers or instagram 'influencer' garbage. Walmart forklift level people. No wonder noone has any self respect anymore and praises themselves for getting out of bed.

Novgorod later being conquered by Mongols who restructured the territory into tributary states, but what does that ultimately matter to people who are alive today? New states being created whole cloth by great powers in the past doesn't invalidate the claims of the people who live there now; or in the case of Ukraine, were previously occupying it before Russia invaded.

Then again, Israelis don't own Israel just because they have an old book that says it belonged to their ancestors. They own Israel because they bought it and brought the weapons and will to keep it.

So ultimately the land belongs to whoever can plant and keep their flag on it, and all of this quibbling over who's a true and honest state is just an irrelevant distraction.

Does it look like the Galicians are going to be able to keep control over Ukraine by force after this? I don't think so.

Galicia will end up absorbed by Poland after all is settled, and they'll finally be someone else's problem.

A couple of the replies are claiming this might be due to "Russian infiltration of German intelligence", but then why is Denmark blocked? I don't know the official process or protocol for these sorts of investigations, but it feels like Sweden might be overstepping their boundaries here to a degree.

Telling Musk to fuck off when you need him far more than he needs you was extremely stupid.

He's an odd guy and seems to take quite a bit of pleasure from trolling/fucking with people who he dislikes. He probably doesn't really care who wins this war and was just using it to test his Starlink thing for military use so he could sell it to the highest bidder.

Elon has some interest in making sure that Germany doesn't lose access to cheap Russian energy as he has just built a Tesla Gigafactory there, so that is a factor as well. Also he doesn't want to lose his Shanghai factory either, so he has to play nice with the CCP.
