Odd how there aren't any videos of it disabling even a consumer grade drone on the range. I sure hope that it's not just a bunch of plastic with an optic and a normal AK magazine (bullpupped because fuck you) put on a display stand for propaganda purposes.

How does it work?

It's the 3rd gen already. Drone guns like these have been used everywhere, from Syria to Armenia. This one works same as any other drone gun, emits a powerful EM signal plus has some special sauce to take care of targeting. The idea is to have these made cheap and plentiful, so every unit has at least one, that's the point of this specific one. Older generations are bulky, fragile, and more expensive.

Magazine is the battery. Doesn't make sense to stray from a a familiar form factor, everyone got mag pouches already. Just posted a video of another drone gun above being used.

And then there are the older ones, the Stupor system. Can see the improvement with the new model.

So whats the range of these things? Power? Is it as i suspect, that they can take down a smaller commercial drone and nothing more?

Stated range is "over 2KM," not sure about power but probably just a bunch of regular LiPo cells. Larger drones can be targeted using traditional AA or larger scale jamming systems, this is more aimed at smaller recon drones and Switchblade-type loitering munitions. Both sides use the same tech for the most part, except that Russia is focusing on having these mass produced so they're available in large quantities, whereas Ukraine only has a few units.

Here's another one, seems they're testing a few here. Burgers built one of theirs on the AR-15 platform, as is tradition.
