Vermin like the Garbagecan's columnists are the ones driving this "Trump vs DeSantis" narrative to divide-and-conquer. Both men have rejected it.

It's still too early to tell. Right now, Trump is still Kingmaker, and DeSantis is the heir apparent of the Party. Meanwhile, the normiecons can either fall in line with MAGA or get lost.

I don't know how it could be any more obvious, Desantis isn't doing fundraisers and TPUSA speaking circuit tours for fun, this is all to build a presidential war chest. You don't see a single other governor fundraising in other states who plans on staying staying in their current job. Again, it's right there in your face.
Once Marlago got raided, Desantis hasn't even said Trump's name in public or on twitter. When he commented on the raid, he used his PERSONAL account for the first time in months, not his official governor twitter account. His speech promoting Masters and Lake in Phoenix, which I watched, he didn't say Trump's name a single time.
Regardless how you feel about either man, Desantis is running for president in 2024 and there will be no Trump/Desantis ticket, it's not going to happen. I doubt Kari Lake will run for Vice President either, VP is a step down from governor.
Both men can reject this reality in interviews all they want, but it's going to happen. Desantis never stopped being chummy with the Bushes, GOPe and neocons and his congressional record doesn't exactly scream MAGA/America First.

A little wind in your sails this weekend, taken from Ace of Spades:

Which company will try and rehab him as being a tough reporter and not a fucking liberal patsy.
You left out the part about the guy who wants to eat Jim Acosta :)

But yeah, the prospect of Acosta getting kicked to the curb does put a smile on my face.

Oh please let this happen, this smug fucker deserves a boot up his ass and the curb in his face. Jake Tapper at least attempts a modicum of balance since the great C-suite switcheroo, but Acosta figures it's beneath him even more so than Don Lemon.

Now Anderson Cooper just needs the same treatment.

You know, I gotta say. I admire the leftist elites.

I have to admit, if I had no moral bones in my body, I would probably do the same. Why? Because the human cattle are just fucking begging for this. They want a pre-built meaning because they are too weak/stupid to follow their own path. They dont care that their leaders are evil and most likely are making fools out of them, as long they give them what they want and an easy living, they dont care.

We see literal criminals being allowed into power and people shamelessly clapping for them no matter how obvious they make it seem that they are, indeed, criminals with no love for the nation and its people. The people are so brainwashed and broken in so many ways that they dont care, they have been raised to not do so. They will vote against their own interests if it satisfy their own insecurities and delusions. Their reasons to vote are purely based on short term and emotionality. "I felt like I had more under X leftist politician", or at least they convinced themselves thats the case because its easy to romanticize the past and convince yourself you were better off back then. Its stockholm syndrome at the political level.

And I cant even say I can even fully blame the elites for this, this just seems to happen when a society reaches its peak and there is no direction to go but down but I will say that they gladly sped up the process.

Again, I dont approve their actions, they are as vile as they come but I can admire them for being able to pull this off and almost not blame them because maybe this is what we deserve for allowing them to get away with it for so long.

He wouldn't be getting promoted throughout right wing media as he has if he personally was against taking the nomination.

DeSantis has even made a point of visiting other states, seemingly to help lay the groundwork for a national campaign. He obviously doesn't want to outright state he'll run just yet (as he'd be having to go against Trump more openly), but he's pretty likely to at some point and he has the establishment support from people like Paul Ryan who work at Fox News which would guarantee he'd get plenty great coverage/promotion there.
All this is in a single goal. Not to run against Trump, but to run after him. DeSantis has successfully secured his role as heir apparent to Donald Trump. The attempt to portray it as anything but is almost comical in that article.
He's going to places Trump endorsed because it gets Trump's voters familiar with him. It gets them to like him. So that when Trump finishes his second term DeSantis can come out of Florida saying "I ran with Trump in 2022, and we ignored all those attempts to split us apart. Vote for me, to get a third term of Trumpian Populism".

Hell, wouldn't be surprised if Trump ran for Governor in Florida just to have a lark on them.

I could also interpret it as a subtle threat to the Cathedral: take Trump off the board, you get to deal with DeathSantis.

A governorship could be fun but I really want to see Senator/Representative Trump just so he can continue trolling them all, and there are probably plenty of states where he could successfully run as a house rep.

That would be the toppest of Top Keks.
And mirrors a normal business leadership ascension. Which is why it's so obvious. The CEO of a company who is close to retirement needs to make sure his company has an easy transition. So, he begins showing off his replacement. He invites him to meetings, lets him take part in small events, he gets him -known- so when it comes time to retire everyone is already knows the new guy. But that is stage one, stage two of it is in the business world a fairly quiet affair. The CEO will begin handling more day-to-day affairs, doing a lot of checking over how the company is doing all while the new guy is allowed more and more to handle the job aspects the CEO had been doing.

By the time the CEO actually retires, the new guy is effectively already running things. And the old CEO has ensured that, in small ways, the company is running as smoothly as possible to ensure it's not a rocky transition.

In this political scenario, we clearly see the first stage. Trump making sure DeSantis is seen and is visible. Letting the nation get used to his presence. Trump running for governor is purely speculation on my part, but will be interesting to see what form the transition takes.

I'm waiting for clips to pop up but it seems Walker held his own in the debate against wife beater Warnock tonight. Walker made Warnock admit to things like "it's God's choice" for women to abort innocent babies, is for packing the Supreme court, is against cash bail, and for changing the Braves baseball name.

But do go on about Walker having an affair or something, bottle blonde Betty in Savannah in the XXL lululemons.

A Senator you say? One who wants to make America great again? This is just like in my Japanese video games...

Apparently Tucker in the second half of his broadcast, talked about some plan to turn North America into a giant EU style border system that would merge Mexico and America.

And the Mexican president revealed the plan by Blinken and was happy with it.
Didn't they want to do that in the 2000s? And nothing came of it because Dubya realized they didn't want the cartels to become their problem. Probably the same thing here. But the Biden admin is retarded enough to go through with it and then blame Trump for the rise in violence in border areas.
