Military Defense and Strategy YouTubers

In the realm of armchair autist who takes their opinions too seriously, Adam Something not only fits this thread but makes urban planning sperging content, so that's a crossover.

Always love these people, it just feels like a copy paste of other peoples content since there is only so many ways to talk about these topics. Unless you go fucking crazy and start saying that aliens are involved or in this case something dumb like the 1st Marine Division is there fighting for the Ukrainians as an entire volunteer division.

Adam Something changes things up with pure smug talk in every thing he prefers to talk about. The best/worst example is in one of his urban planning videos where he spergs about absolutely insane proposals for massive engineering projects that would attempt to change society in some major way. Can't find it right now and honestly maybe I am confusing it with another person like him that acts exactly the same.

Has anyone had a chance to watch the new Perun video? I save his stuff for work days as it takes an hour off the day for me.
Yeah its really good and covers angles i dont think are being covered anywhere else.

Fuck I just took a look at the video when I got home an hour or so ago and his voice is just as smug as you said it was. Also that ad placement for Masterworks... OK time for Doc's random rant on YouTube sponsorships. if you hate the plague that is YouTube video sponsorships get Sponsorship Blocker https://sponsor.ajay.app/ It is a user generated sponsorship skips add-on for web-browsers I am 100% sure it can see what you watch and I am not sure how data is stored for privacy. But it is a useful ad on to block the ads that an ad blocker can't block. Back to the sponsorships with Defense strategy people, I am not a fan of the ads it just feels weird to make money off people dying and will always give off this CNN classic banger vibes.
Lets just say Applebee's was not that happy with that being played right after fucking air raid sirens.

This is not to say that our little struggling artists cant get that "bread" as the kids say just my dumb personal 'moral' view on dumb shit.

I thought so, Perun really hasn't had a video that I have wanted to skip through while watching. Thinking on that statement there are zero YouTubers that I watch that I can say I seen all of their content and not really been motivated to skip a video or fast-forward through besides Perun. ( I am ignoring his gaming videos)

I love these types of youtubers, playing real conflicts like they are their HO4 games.

What about hypohystericalhistory? He mostly does TikTok, but has a YouTube channel that primarily covers ww2, but has also covered more modern events

Ryan McBeth, an army vet and knows something about cybersecurity. His videos have been popping up a lot on my YouTube Shorts recommendations since the Ukraine war began.

Good catch on this dude. I didn’t think to add him in, he comes off kinda insufferable at times with his tone. The information that he brings to the conversation is correct and informative as far as I have seen. He is also a YouTube short guy so if you like micro content he’s got it.

Speaking of army channels, the channel of the german army has their own autist who appears in some of the videos on the war in ukraine who seems to be very excited talking about russians fleeing and dyingView attachment 3697530

I think he is just German.

guy I watched when the whole Ukrainian Battle Royal kicked off. Is “Speak the Truth” Robert Terkla some kind of retried US Army(?) dude. His videos are a mix of looking at Russian state TV and comparing it to the news on the ground. And does strategy on a map for what is happening and gives his thoughts on what could potentially happen. In the last few videos he has been calling out other YouTubers (without naming names boo) that they are to quick to take updates from Twitter/telegram and post it as fact in their videos.

As a side note I have noticed that there has been little in the way of drama in this sphere that has reached my more normie YouTube recommendations. Beyond the Lazer pig video about coach red pill and the bald guy.

Edit: good example of the videos that I think Speak the Truth is talking about:
We don't know if this 'retreat' is going to lead to any major amount of Russian forces getting stuck, encircled and captured/killed-destroyed. This guy Denys Davydov is a Ukrainian citizen some kind of pilot and started making YouTube videos about riding around on motorcycles. He is VERY quick to state things in Ukraine's favor right away before things on the ground can stabilize.

Since the bridge did the funny in Crimean. People are jumping out to try and get their takes in to get into the algorithm.

As an unrelated note apparently YouTube is demonetization people who cover the invasion of Ukrainian. Obviously the people who show dead people have long gotten the yeet but just showing footage (apparently not even showing death but just explosions and tanks getting blown up) are getting the same treatment and is forcing these tards to take drastic measures like Suchomimus who has deleted/hidden all videos that are a week old or something no idea how that will help and most likely yank their YouTube rankings way down.

Perun's newest video was pretty funny, it seemed that the General was expecting dumb journalist questions from Perun and so he had prepared dumb journalist answers for him.

Also The Chieftan's interview about armour acquisition was really good even if its an overview of how its supposed to go before politics gets involved.

I have the unfortunate luck of CNN being on in work and I have seen a few of his interviews and most of his responses felt kinda the same to Perun just longer responses. But it is crazy that this random YouTuber was able to get an interview from a person in the ‘know’. Also liked that chieftain interview as well very interesting content and worth a background listen.

Has red effect been mentioned yet? He does videos mainly regarding armor and his videos are pretty decent, his titles come off as biased but so far the recent ones ive seen are facts first and no opinions, might be worth checking out if you find him interesting.

I've seen this take alot, and since a few days/weeks ago russia found a weird black remote controlled boat on the shores of Crimea it might have some weight to it. personally i think the video is, at best, proof water moves, all i see is just white foamy water, and the explosion we saw on video didnt move upwards like how a bomb underneath would.

How about Drachnifel? He's the one overly obsessed with navel history and fights.
Drachinifel had mentioned more than a few times he's sticking just to older ships and historical naval stuff. As newer in service individual ships and classes still have parts of their service histories, equipment and even sections of the ships classified.

As for Sub Brief, not a fan of him as from the few videos I did watched, he was just reading articles word for word.

Red Effect from what I remember, like most Serbs, would drink the entire ocean if a single Russian came in it. So the recent war in Ukraine most have been a very sobering experience for him

I had the exact opposite view of him, I saw him as a Russian simp for his coverage of the (((NEW))) Russian tank prototypes. He must be a French simp and we haven't seen the cheese wedges and onions yet.
