I dont understand why we give these parents disability money? If they are low income they get free medical, diapers etc. Why does kim need the 700?
In an ideal world, they'd use it for extra social and educational support and learning aids or if the child is physically disabled, things to make life more comfortable or therapies their medical insurance doesn't cover. In reality, it's usually just extra money for the parent to waste on garbage. I've actually seen parents whose kids get disability say it's for the kid's rent.

That's what I'm saying why are we giving them money instead make programs. Save us tax payers a lot instead of shelling 700 dollars a month for kim and Dalton to go hotel hoping with fast food.

Because they won't use the programs, unfortunately. I don't have any experience with social services in dirt poor rural communities but even where I am, someplace extremely rich in those programs, people don't take advantage of them for whatever reason. They'll provide transportation, meals, even give actual cash money for parents to bring their child to early intervention-type programs, and they still refuse to go.

It was one of the most frustrating things about social services. Some people don't want help they just want cash and for you to leave them alone.

That's fine if they dont take advantage of them atleast we are not wasting it on fast food and hotels.

Does Kim just bully her mother to give her Aiden's tugboat money? Her mother seems like she doesn't even know what's going on most of the time so she would probably just give it to Kim if she pushed hard enough.

It's so sad that this poor kid has been failed by everyone in his life... His mother, his grandmother who is supposed to be taking care of him, his father, the state...such a total bummer to watch a child fall through the cracks in real time via Tik Tok and Facebook.

Well, since I already PL'd,
I actually screen and refer the kids who need further intervention to either our local school board or early steps programs. From there, if they're eligible, they'll receive whatever services (PT, OT, speech, etc) deemed necessary after their evaluation. Those can be either in a ESE/sped class, at their childcare/head start center, home, or any combination. I don't refer them unless I feel they need it. Parents are free at any time to self-refer or discuss concerns with me and we go from there, but I haven't had any kids so far that parents are insisting need a check who probably don't (I have seen this in the past). The ones I'm sending through are definitely delayed in some way.

Aiden? Definitely. I'd walk the paperwork to the school board if I had to. Kid's fucked.

No I’m honestly shook that a young woman of Kim’s age with thin, fine, straight hair let her hair get so matted and gross that the only remedy was to buzz it off, on camera and pull it apart like of all the things she didn’t have to do, she could have not done that. Tinfoil time I wonder if she’s having to submit a follicle test and thinks she’s being slick.

Nah, I think she's just that lazy that she rarely showered and never took her hair out of that scraggly ass bun when she did. She ended up with a filthy dreadlock on top of her head. Can you imagine the smell of that clump of hair?

The only way kim got her hair matted (it was she showed the clumps) is pure laziness. She goes days with the same clothing on. It's always in a nasty bun, and she swims in public pools constantly. I cant believe just how lazy this cunt is. No job, doesnt do chores, her kid raises himself.

I can’t stress this point enough.
Hair PL: I have fine hair but even with a bit of curl. I have camped, outdoors, for a week in the fall with lots of daily hiking. There was no hair washing for the entire week. I pretty much kept my hair in a gnarly bun the entire time, my brush got left back in the car. At the end of this week I still had not one mat or knot in my hair. It is incredibly difficult to mat or knot up fine white girl hair. Kim is filthy beyond all comprehension. I honestly think she probably got lots of food and literal shit in her hair to manage it matting up that badly. Her basic hair, even with no washing and constant gross bun wouldn’t cause mats that bad, she needed the assistance of shit like syrup, meat grease, soda pop or candy in her hair to create mats that foul.

I can only assume because a disabled child is considered more expensive and needful than your average child. Things like additional childcare, therapies, time required by parents, etc… Parents spend a lot of resources the first 4 years while a child is totally dependent. Things improve as the child grows and gets more independent. It’s reasoned a disabled child does not have this path towards growing independence and continues to require the same intensive time/money as a toddler. It also acts as a carrot for families to take care of children in their families with disabilities rather than foster care.

Sadly, in the case of awful parents like Kim the money just subsidizes mom’s fast food, smokes, soda pop and bad decisions. It’s a helpful bit of money for poor parents who care and more money to piss away on stupid shit for dumb cunts like Kim and Sammy.

Many of the Dx in these homes come from the dreadful home life the kids exist in. Neurological deficits are caused by neglect and abuse. It’s one reason the birth to 3 programs were created, to try and prevent “speds” created by environmental conditions and shitty parents. I have no doubt Aiden qualifies for birth to 3 but Kim avoided it because the social workers involved would have caused her trouble. Any child Kim has she will rush to get Dx as disabled as soon as they turn two, if there isn’t some physical issue that allows them to qualify before then.
Benefits for parents should be tied to effort. There was a program in rural Mexico that gave families additional benefits based on the kids’ school attendance and medical appointment attendance. They got additional bonuses for kids maintain a certain GPA and other benchmarks. Kim should absolutely be responsible for taking him to Head Start or an accredited private program if he’s disabled enough to warrant a money check.

Bingo

I'm trying not to sperg but forgive me,what kind of parent sets their kids up for failure? I want my kid to do BETTER than me. Their future is more important to me than a check every month that keeps them stuck in the cycle.
I am one of those parents who has struggled to make ends meet. Never did it occur to me to cripple my kid this way by trying to get checks . She was reading before she started Scholl due to MY effort. Thanks to grants and scholarships for poor kids, my kid made it to a good college without me going into debt.
I was just as broke and dependent on food stamps as these Sammieverse parenting examples. My kid made it out because I made fucking sure she got good grades and got into the best schools and I'm poor white trash, just educated and clean. Lol but not a basement dweller til I come here

My only hesitation with something like this is that it should never, ever be on the kid to support the family. Giving bonuses for GPA puts a lot of pressure on the child to do well in school, and not every kid is capable.

That was my first thought. Shitty, selfish parents who have bad intentions are always going to exist and these kind of government incentives don't automatically turn Kims into good parents.

I still think that state of affairs is preferable to kids being abused by not prioritizing their education.

Almost the entire continent of Asia disagrees with you.

Such a program wouldn’t come within a country mile of the academic pressure and standards placed on the average Chinese, Korean or Japanese student…and they don’t even get bonuses for performance just avoid bringing shame on their family.

They carved pumpkins, and made a pumpkin for Faith (mermaid) and DJ Dalton jr (nutella). Look at Daltons face carving.

The difference is at least these Asian parents want their kids to succeed. With someone like Kim, it seems like she either on purpose or by way of her own ignorance and laziness puts every roadblock possible in the way of her child's success. Would she push Aiden into early intervention programs if she would be given less tugboat money if she didn't? If her monthly gibes were going to depend on making sure he gets his medical needs met, would she try harder to get his diabetes under control? It's hard to say. And if she didn't, and her benefits were cut, he's going to suffer as a result of that too.
And you can't say "Take the kids away from these parents" because there aren't enough places for these kids to go. We would end up with basically giant state orphanages of kids of the poor, lazy, and stupid. It's why dealing with trying to pull up impoverished people is so difficult. They have to figure out what is going to work for the greatest amount of people. I don't know if a GPA bonus would benefit these kids, or get their parents to make sure they are going to school and giving them the best chance for success. The goal has to be to get these kids out of the cycle of poverty so that in the future they aren't having to rely on welfare to live. Maybe an attendance requirement, or forced testing to see if a child needs special programs and mandatory compliance with said programs would help.

It's disheartening that it has to be made both easier and more beneficial for people like Kim to support their children instead of handicapping them with an autism diagnosis. It feels like they are being rewarded for their own laziness and greed, but if it helps the kids have a better future it's probably for the best for the greater community in the long run. People like Kim are a lost cause, they aren't going to change or suddenly see that how they live is selfish and that they seemingly lack basic parental desire to do the best for their offspring. I don't know what the solution is; the whole thing is depressing as fuck.
