I think she's just grifting for 15 more minutes of fame. My reasoning for this is, why wait until now to say something? If you really "aren't afraid of the NDA" like you claim, you'd have said something the INSTANT they said "$4000 is all you're getting, either take it or leave it". More than likely, she turned down the job if she had "nothing but time". I have no idea what the going rate is for a video game VA lead, but I suspect Platinum knows. Also, companies don’t generally like to be held to ransom by talent. See every show or film that has ever been recast. Plus, it's telling that she didn't, say, compare it to how much she got paid for Bayo 1 + 2. Deliberately hiding information that would do nothing but help your case makes one think that you don't have a case at all.

Helena trying to whine about being paid $4000 sounds pretty familiar to me.
Also: besides a few random roles in TV/Film, the only significant role she has played is Bayonetta

I guess what really needs to be determined is just how many lines had to be done, and how many times lines would have had to be retried. For a story game like bayonetta, it may be several hours of dialogue. Some small form of royalty should be at play if the pay is going to be relatively low for the amount of work, some people are paid thousands more than that for barely anything.

They could just buy used copies of the game, that way they'd get their cake and could eat it too. Funny how not a single person in those screenshots came up with that idea.
Speaking of voice acting, haven't there been even bigger issues with the guy who played Niko Bellic in GTA4? I remember something about that guy getting screwed because his contract didn't ask for royalties or something?

If she's getting ripped off as much as she could be, then this is really just going to make the 'unionization' crowd even louder even if it's a ridiculous concept for this industry. It'll hurt the companies wallets more than hers.

Honestly, I don't give much of a shit about this stupid drama. I'm pretty much done with consoles as it is and just concentrating on PC. Hell, I'm getting another PC built next June, and if I wanted to play Bayonetta 3, I'll just pirate it and use yuzu. Switch emulation is getting better.
