At any rate graf has
performatively cut off plans to make a deal with Odysee (
a) because apparently he found out that Odysee has some bullet points in its TOS prohibiting hate speech.

I can understand reading that and not being enthused, but the thing that isn't included in this screenshot is when this stipulation was added (or at least when Odysee
claims it was added, which I currently have no reason to doubt):

It's been there since
February, and from my experience, I haven't really heard of any specific examples of "hate speech" content getting jannied - and evidently,
Graf hasn't either, considering WhiteDissidentRadio's post was the first he had ever even heard of the platform having an in-writing hate speech policy.
Now, in my opinion, actions speak louder than words, and if this policy has been on the books since
February, and if people like Mister Metokur, who's dedicated a solid portion of his two shows on the platform so far to saying as many slurs as he can, seemingly aren't causing any problems, then this kind of just makes the "hate speech" policy sound like a boilerplate addendum to their TOS that acts as journalist repellant, so they can't say "Odysee doesn't even have
hate speech guidelines!
The horror!". Obviously, I could be wrong, but with people like Dispatch helping build the backend, Lauren Southern acting as one of the platform's spokespeople, and Julian regularly personally interacting with people like Ralph even
after they've fallen out, I can't imagine they're going to legitimately start shutting people down for talking about the moon crickets.
I can understand (and agree with!) people wanting to promote federated solutions for video sharing...

... but you can accomplish that
without hair-trigger putting down centralized platforms like a conveyor belt of Old Yellers based off of tenuous information.
