During his appearance, Barry discussed a wide range of topics with host Bill Maher, including the then-upcoming release of his film Bee Movie 2, his thoughts on the American political landscape, and the difficulties of being a bee in the modern world. In addition, Barry also revealed that he was working on a new film called The Bee Movie 3, which is set to be released in 2021. Bill Maher asked Barry about his opinion on how covid affected beekind, to which Barry replied, "I think it's been really tough on us. I mean, we're a social species, so not being able to socialize has been really tough."
