I always find myself asking how some of these early YouTubers (and other sites) create a company and let it get so bloated with people you don't need. I'm not saying you can't coordinate or do stuff with others; but when your content was fucking around with Machinima, Let's Plays, or whatever, you don't need the status of being a real and honest 100% adult business. The reason you hire Levar Burton's daughter is because LeVar Burton has connections in hollywood. You can use those connections, via hiring his daughter to get your projects funding. There was some point in time where it became fashionable to pick apart every piece of content to look for anything even a little "problematic" in it. This wave took over the RT Fandom in around 2013. I remember people writing whole essay length tumblr posts about off color jokes Ray made. It sucks all of the enjoyment out of in, when you're steeped into that culture and feel the need to overanalyze what you're watching and get offended on other people's behalf.

A genuine apology isn't good enough for this crowd anymore. Kdin getting exposed for gamer words is just the snake eating its own tail.
