Ah I watched this today. Not to sound like I’m always stanning for Adam but honestly this made me think again that he came away from all of this looking relatively squeaky clean.

At least he had the sense to put his head down and shut up for a few months.

Rest of the doc was kind of wild too - not to veer off topic too much but it’s kind of sad seeing what a shell of a man Geoff seems now.
Adam got really lucky with how overshadowed his stuff was by Ryan. I would have gotten a lottery ticket if i was him

hey so since the OG doc of the adam kovic catfish pictures/videos was borked? anyone have a link where everything is saved?

Edit: also, just to give SOME kinda actual update, for those that werent aware, ryan's twitter was never banned, he personally deleted it and was keeping his tagline from being stolen by deactivating and deactivating it before 30 day buffer ran out. well sometime in july 2022, someone else was able to snag his twitter handle 'RyanTheTwit' https://twitter.com/RyanTheTwit

so either ryan forgot, stopped caring, or died in july :u

Everyone is coming out of the woodwork because of the current Rooster Teeth situation. New allegations against Adam and a still employed manager.
Misti Dawn (sounds like a porn star)
I was signed with Machinima in 2011-2012. I was contacted online and asked to come in the West Hollywood office for a meeting about becoming a director / partner with my Youtube channel. I ended up voicing Nina in "Sanity Not Included", hosted various other streams, convention coverage, and interviews.

Kövic was in that first meeting. I met everyone (about 6 people, Machinima was new) They seemed nice. Adam was flirty and I thought he was cute. I had NO idea he was in a relationship. I was 23-24 at the time. He started emailing me about coming to First Fridays which was a drinking meet and greet for everyone at Machinima. I came most Fridays and he would come to my car to make out, which led to more. I was not an in-office employee, I was talent and had a different contract, so typical work relationship issues weren’t as visible.

Then i'm at the Inside Gaming Awards and i find out not only is he not single, he has been with someone for years. I decided to cut him off. I knew plenty of others in the office so i still came in when booked to host or etc.

One PAX in Boston Adam showed up to my hotel room begging for attention. I refused. This was about 2 years after I stopped speaking to him.

As recent as 2018 he followed me around E3. Party to party. At the 3blackdot party I had just had it. I stood in the corner of the outside area with my friends to hope he would get a point (one a former female Machinima employee as well, well call her “Jane”). Her boyfriend ended up yelling at Adam to leave me alone. He responded with “So you did mean to unfollow me?”

He then emailed me through his RT email trying to “book me for makeup work” over and over. I eventually told my now husband the whole story. E3. The years of it. He emailed Adam to his RT email to leave me alone.

I'll keep names different, as it's their choice to be public. One of my best friends “Becky” was a writer for Machinima before she moved on to IGN. She had many issues with Adam and he was turned in to HR at Machinma . Nothing was ever done. He was reported more than once.

Then the “mass exodus” of Inside Gaming happened. About 6 months in to that, i had a few friends leaving that were in off- camera work departments for RT that were Machinima alumni as well. I became closer with a couple of the sales team members at RT. I told (we’ll call him “Greg”), a senior level manager above Adam, many times about Adam’s behavior and to watch out.

After that, I had a former coworker “abby” from a different office start at RT mid- 2020. I warned her about Adam and she said a few others in the office did as well. I personally told “Greg” again. Coming to him in the sense that it would be an expensive PR mistake to keep letting Adam slide. Abby also expressed concerns to her new boss, not only about his behavior but that his voice over in videos was vulgar and not appropriate for the platform. We all know how people talk in live gaming, but it’s different when you are selling ads to make it profitable.

His boss was informed that his content has some issues.and of the rumors. “Greg” did nothing. 6 months later the infamous “Google Drive” was released. Instead of preparing, they just milked profits from Adam's content and then acted shocked about something everyone knew.

This behavior isn’t new, its just in the public now. And we no longer turn a blind eye to this. The gaming industry mentality in the 2010s really sucked out my love of gaming. These behaviors from many was not only known, but willingly looked over time and time again.

Autumn also released a statement and confirmed today it was over similar issues with Adam.
I posted on Twitter a few days ago about having reported a serious issue to RT's upper management and HR. I will not be divulging any more details, but I do want to confirm that the individual who was reported was Adam Kovic, for issues similar to the ones Misti brought up. The specific issue I mentioned was reported over a year before the photos and videos leaked, which no one was aware of until that day.

Oh yeah, I finally got around to reading Rook by Adam and Aaron, it's alright. Pretty cool sci-fi world, definitely builds off of their current opinions of banks, corporations and the internet abundance of OnlyFans thottery. Not sure when it was added to the book but there is a mention of e-celebs having their nudes leaked. Also the main character has a fetish for being mothered by giant women, it's pretty out there, I didn't hate it. The ending was pretty underwhelming, they were too clearly aiming to subvert expectations but it led to a hollow feeling victory.

I got bored and bought the book a while back; and honestly, I hated it. It read like a first draft, was completely unfocused, and its "social commentary" was really surface level, and didn't offer much overall. If you enjoyed it, that's cool, not going to sit here and chastise you for liking something I didn't but this was one of the few books in my life where I would read two pages and then put it down for a few minutes cause I was forcing myself to finish it.

For context; I am a Warhammer 40k dork and my opinion on literature is invalid.

I didn't like, I also didn't hate it either. I bought the thing last December or so and it took me that long to read it. I know it's sad but I said when the book came out that I'd read it and report to the thread about it so I only finished it from obligation.

My original intention was to give a report also but I hated it so much I wanted it out of my head right away. To understand how much of a slog it was to read, I typically read a 400 - 500 page book every week. It took me nearly five weeks to read this fucking thing. This thread is basically dead so I don't think it would be very funny to invest the time tearing this book apart.

The mods definitely jannied this thread but these comments from Bruce and James are interesting. They feign ignorance despite this also be some open secret according to this woman.

I don't know all the retards in these RT channels, does anyone know who Autumn is and what was said?

Was gonna ask. I stopped watching Funhaus like 2015/16, even when they would've probably made good content. Idk why, but people said they went through so many different waves of new people. I'm guessing it's that one Bruce said caused him to quit in 2019.

This was probably brought up two years ago, too, but it is funny that Kovic got outed as the sex pest when everyone would've expected it to be Lawrence the male feminist.

So, it turns out that Google exists. Autumn is literally Bruce Greene's wife. She posted this on Twitter;

I am very angry hearing about these situations that Rooster Teeth's upper management and HR department swept under the rug. I can attest to this being a pattern, as I had to contend with one of those situations while I was managing Inside Gaming. The core of this is not my story to tell, so I will not be going into detail about the situation itself, but the day-to-day dread of being left alone as a brand new middle manager to deal with the problem is mine to speak on.

This was not some hand-wavy situation with lots of gray area. This was a very black and white, unsafe, horrible issue that if it had happened ANYWHERE else would have been immediately dealt with. HR had been aware of this problem for over a year and did absolutely nothing about it. A few upper management people were aware and did absolutely nothing about it. It fell to the hands of myself and other middle management aware of the issue to protect our teams and try to navigate something incredibly complex and emotionally fraught. We had no power to actually do anything about it, no way to openly communicate with our teams about it, and we were forced to grin and bear it indefinitely. We brought up our concerns multiple times about allowing this to continue to poison our teams instead of someone in leadership dealing with the issue, but were ignored.

At the time, with the pandemic to contend with, I didn't fully take in what an awful position HR and upper management had put us in. In hindsight, having worked in settings where people are expected to act professionally, and now knowing that this was just one of many things waved away, I feel stunned at how poorly this was handled. I feel angry that this was left to me and others with limited power to work around. I did know that this inaction was bound to blow up one way or another, so I made sure to include the problem in writing in my letter of resignation when I left at the end of 2020. One last (failed) attempt to get someone to do something about it, adding more documentation, and expressing that I left feeling unsafe and uncomfortable.

I'm attaching said letter to this tweet thread. As I said, the core of this story is not mine to tell, so I blacked out identifying details. At the time I made my departure more about the opportunity presented to me by 100 Thieves, but this was not the truth. It WAS a great opportunity, and I'm very grateful they approached me, but I was not able to be open with my employees about the reality of the situation. I was not able to be publicly open about it. I was trying to leave on a good note and give HR the benefit of the doubt, that this was just a weird problem they couldn't fix for reasons I didn't understand. This was a mistake. Seeing how many other things they ignored is very upsetting. I wish I had been more experienced and understood how poorly this was handled. When you have multiple company and culture leaders waving something away that you KNOW is a terrible situation... it's a mindfuck.

It's funny, because I've been open about Sugar Pine 7 being a bad work environment (as have the guys), but I've always soundly chalked that up to a group of young people being inexperienced and not knowing what the hell we were doing. We had problems but we were all open about it and attempts were made to fix things, even if they were misguided - good intentions were there. In stark contrast, Rooster Teeth was a corporate environment with what you would expect to be a functioning HR department, senior employees in leadership who were older and experienced, and they failed all of us involved in this situation (and many other situations, evidently) horribly. There were many people I worked with at RT who I think tried their best and were doing what they could, but you can't fix something inherently broken coming down from the top. The culture of protecting people in the limelight at the expense of those in the background, or those not as publicly popular, was toxic and bound to cause problems.

Of course, years have passed since then, so my goal with this story is not to draw ire to who currently works there. I honestly don't know who's left who even knew of this situation/aided in sweeping it under the rug. I also adore everyone currently at RT West and I love seeing the current Funhaus group thrive. Lawrence and Omar were both amazing bosses who fought hard for us every day. My goal is to add to the voices coming out showing the significant pattern in ignoring egregious problems and passing the buck to the little guy. This should never have been something I had to contend with as someone barely in middle management, who had never held a management position in their life. I feel for anyone, whether or not they're coming forward, who was left in inappropriate and unsafe situations by the inactions of HR and upper management. It wasn't fair, it's not fair, and I'm glad some of it is coming to light now.

Basically, RT is the shithole it has repeatedly been exposed itself to be. Kovic was a known pervert and sex pest and RT did nothing about it. When this woman left RT she cited Kovic as one of the main factors;

I'll admit that I wanted this to be something more than it presented itself as but it literally comes down to RT probably threating their staff to not divulge how incapable they are at handling anything whatsoever. No wonder that faggot Burnie fled to New Zealand or whatever, he at least saw the writing on the wall.

Well. Boo, I guess. I figured jerking off in your office was pretty out there compared to general sex pest behavior, but the "big" one for Rahul being normal-ass creeping is a bit of a bummer.

At least know we know why Bruce left. He kept saying "I'm not just leaving to be a streamer", which is exactly what he is now exclusively, so to know it's a cover-up and he's not a stupid man-child as per suspicion is a good development.

Lawrence on the other hand-

Reactions: Markass the Worst
It's amazing that two years and countless "statements" by involved parties later the closest we've gotten to finding out what Adam did to deserve his colleagues' ire is one vague accusation of sexual harassment and a general consensus that he somehow contributed to make FH a crappy work environment. Everyone who responded to the Misti Dawn post made it quite clear that they had no idea about any of her allegations, so we're still left to wonder the extent of his shittiness towards his coworkers that they would still hold him in such contempt even before finding out about his past misdeeds. Unless they're lying about how much they knew...?

In any case, the fact that all this has once again surfaced gives me an opportunity to repost one of my favorite memes to come out of this whole affair:

Lawrence on the other hand-
Off topic, but earlier this year Lawrence was interviewed by a former Machinima/RT colleague of his about his time working for MCNs and his decision to go off on his own. It's a long listen but he seemed to attribute his decision to a couple of different factors:
  • Poor management and communication on the part of RT/Fullscreen and being overworked.
  • Being passed up for promotions over employees with less seniority.
  • This all came to a head when, after having "busted [his] ass [off]" trying to revitalize the Inside Gaming brand following its revival by RT in 2019, he all of a sudden received a 48-hour notice that his team was going to be cut by 25%.
Take this with a grain of salt however as it was said with his trademark tone of bitterness. I can empathize with how stressful and difficult his situation must've been, but I also have to remind myself that he was (and may yet be) a deeply resentful individual.
