I just realized he even did this unrecorded. I don't know what to say. If someone was in their 40's acting like this I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them. You are right. Ideally a man in his 40s should have his plan laid out for retirement, a career, a family and kids to enjoy. Phil has a crusty, dusty bedroom stuffed with empty boxes and failure, a condo that is most likely rotting from the inside out, and is in a loveless marriage.

With Scorn it's especially funny since right up to release he thought it was going to be a mindless shooter game, he even called it a "Doom style game." He's still using the word "hardcore" quite a bit so it won't be that. I think it may be more tied to how little everyone, including the 'chairs, care about it. And that's assuming that he's doing this consciously and it's not because he's already running so many grifts that he's forgotten about hyping it up. I wonder if his newer habit of dodging new releases far more often might tie into it as well.
